From first contact through conceptualization, planning, and most importantly execution, I was left equal measure relieved and surprised. Anne’s design process focused on what the space was intended to provide — neither distracting nor uninspired, delivered warmth and a sense of safety, and a design that felt representative of us.

  - Description: A living room with surrounding windows looking out into beautifully landscaped gardens, a new fireplace surround, hearth and mantel were designed to update this contemporary space. Furnishings, art work, lighting and accessories were layered into the space in order to create a comfortable and elegant modern space for good conversation and enjoying the landscaping out the windows.

We selected an antique cast iron bathtub, painted the exterior a rich, deep purple from Benjamin Moore and paired it with fabric shower curtains that could enclose one into a delightful bubble bath. We had a custom vanity created with a quartz countertop and provided enough drawer space to leave an array of favorite toiletries to share and space for fresh towels below.

  - Description: We updated this dining room when we renovated the adjacent kitchen. The homeowner wanted to make sure they could accommodate larger groups of people for family gatherings and the holidays. We offset the contemporary nature of the home by adding a dining table with a layered reclaimed wooden top and two solid metal bases accompanied by black wood and leather dining arm chairs. Large format art prints were added to a deep green accent wall to create extra visual interest in the space.

  - Description: While these clients have a front door, it's their side door that gets all of the action. They asked for their space to be updated to be more welcoming to their comings and goings while also accounting for their storage needs. We added framed artwork on a thin ledge, hooks for bags and dog-walking supplies, a basket to store shoes, and hung a ceramic bell made by Notary Ceramics to bring sound and a sculptural element to the space.
