However, on checking with our CS team this specific instance had the fire pit media installed incorrectly. So, there was no proper air flow on the burner and around the pilot which created oven-like conditions. A Warming Trends tech had a look at the provided photos and concluded the thermopile/heat sensor was damaged due to this incorrect installation. However, they have terrible customer service and don’t stand behind thei products. We ordered an outdoor fire table, the Lotus 45. Firstly, the table arrived 3 weeks late. Secondly, the price was quoted as delivered, howeve they did not tell us they would be dropping off a 430 pound crate that we had to deal with on our own. When I called to discuss the situation they said if we wanted it set up that was white glove delivery, an option that was not extend to us at the time of ordering. After managing to get the crate opened and the fire table moved to the correct area, it could not be set up properly, because the company sent the wrong parts. After having to call them and spend a significant amount of time on the phone they figured out the error and proceeded to send the wrong parts again, so we had to take the table completely apart twice and reassemble it with the correct parts., given how dirty the lava rock is it was dirty, time consuming job. We also purchased a log set as the media. From the very first use there was so much soot collecting on the logs and blowing onto our furniture that we have large black grease stains on our furniture as well as ourselves. When we called to complain they said we were buying impure propane. We have had two previous fire tables with no issues and as soon as I remove the logs from this fire table the problem also stopped. We were not able to give you a further discount because there was already $500 off applied for a COVID-19 sale. We also contacted the factory, Warming Trends Cross Fire (manufacturer of the burner) and they identified this problem as related to the additives in the gas that the gas manufacturer puts in.
