Within a few minutes of being in our home, she immediately had a vision of what we would do. Julie has an amazing eye for space and design, and is a true artist in what she does. At the same time, her designs are functional and approachable for us as a family. My children can live, play, and feel at home in our living spaces. While we wanted a room that looked presentable and current, at the end of the day we really need a space we can live in. Most importantly, Julie helped us make our house a home. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during the design and install process, and we are so grateful we found her. Julie is also fun, easy to work with, and kept our project on budget. She took a contractor grade kitchen and not just upgraded it by giving us more storage, but she made it bright, fresh, airy and inviting, along with casual and durable for our simple lifestyle, not to mention spectacular! We also had our bathrooms painted, painted and glazed the cabinetry and updated the fixtures. We love the outcome and all aspects of the renovation. The kitchen window is truly our, or at least my, favorite part. I remember telling her that I loved the window as that’s where I watch our nature display of birds and butterflies when I’m working in there. So Julie enhanced it for me! She took what was loved and made it better. The window and sink – she made them features! Julie knows too about budgets and she worked with us and stayed within ours. She also worked with the contractor and made sure that they did what they were supposed to do. We loved that she brought samples for her vision of our kitchen to us and allowed us to choose; there was no wondering “will this fit,” “will this look good,” because they all worked. She had narrowed everything down to simple choices, which made choosing so much easier. She did the hard part, but to her it was fun. And that’s what you want in a designer, someone capable of making that vision reality, making that vision better than you thought you wanted or needed!
