She charged $250 for a site visit/consultation/estimate, with the promise that she would give lots of great ideas. However, after her hour and a half tour of my home, rather than any novel or helpful ideas, she presented me with a nine page contract. She explained that she did not want to "give away" her ideas, since that is what I would be paying her for in the future.
