Having Synergy Builders involved in this construction project was a very positive experience. My husband and I sought out three estimates from the start but found that even though Synergy was not the cheapest proposal, in conversing with John, we felt comfortable with his ideas and assurances of how the project would proceed. I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted the layout to look. We had a master bath and a dressing area that was , for us, wasted space. When I presented to John, my ideas for a larger master bath along with a walk in closet, he took the ideas , came up with a plan and expanded upon it. Mark, the project manager , Colleen and the rest of the team moved walls, plumbing and electrical to make this space far more functional. Colleen was incredibly helpful to me as I have no talent when it comes to design. At times, I had to turn over design ideas to her and she was able to put together a look that reflected my taste, with ease. The gentleman who was the carpenter on site had the task of putting in a laundry chute and I have to say his former math teachers would be proud. He figured out the perfect angle to get it to work. In terms of communication, they were very clear from the get go that my comfort level was what mattered. I found that in general, phone calls and emails were answered promptly. I also found the team to be very courteous. When there were glitches along the way , as there usually are, this team worked quickly to rework plans or redo anything that was just not working correctly. Each time I walk into my master suite, I have to say I couldn’t be happier. It is now a place that is relaxing and functional. As we were locking down on the design, the Synergy team did a thorough site review - double-checking measurements, and investigating behind walls and soffits. This is when we were introduced to Steve, the project manager for our job, and the 'behind-the-scenes' production manager who made sure everything was scheduled perfectly. > > It didn't take long for us to learn that there were some structural adjustments required, due to some strange decisions made by the original builders of the house. We also learned that we had a significant leak through the tile in the master bathroom. Steve and Sharon did a phenomenal job working with us on the options, as we decided to include remodeling the bathroom into the project. They synchronized the schedule and were able to incorporate it with absolutely no impact to the kitchen schedule. > > The quality of the people working onsite was fantastic. Our project was a complete exterior siding and roof replacement with some other improvements. Following our initial interviews we decided to hire Synergy. When the project was scheduled to begin we had to leave town for two weeks. We were confident from the start that they were the right company for the job. We trusted Synergy to perform the work well in our absence. As it turns out the workers found that we had a large bee infestation behind our siding and in the walls . We later learned the hive had over 500,000 bees. All carefully removed and relocated. But we were soon additionally informed one corner of our house framing had been severely damaged due to termites from an old unknown infestation from many years earlier. Major repairs required, we were kept informed all during our absence. Synergy handled all issues and we had no need to worry. The project included new windows, skylights, new front entrance design and new concrete walkway. All stages completed with expertise and care. The workers are all great and demonstrate pride in their work. The Synergy team is a pleasure to work with and we found very creative when those unforeseen issues pop up that need immediate attention and resolution. As a result of the successfully work on our home exterior we decided to engage Synergy to design and remodel our Kitchen. This involved removing a wall between kitchen and dining room to make a larger contiguous space. We then added a renovation to our family room, front hall and downstairs bath. This second interior project uncovered several unknown major structural problems in our old house. Surprises no one wants to learn. Once again Synergy had remedies for all issues and with skill the problems had solutions. The Synergy team is great to work with and they handle the issues and problems well and with a sense of humor. Which when you are living in your basement for weeks on end, humor and compassion is a most welcome part of the survival strategy. We highly recommend this company for all your renovation needs large and small. You can trust them to provide great workmanship, and quality throughout the entire process.
