> I recently worked with the Window Treats team to outfit our new home's kitchen and family room. I am so incredibly pleased with the window treatments - extremely well made and beautiful. Audrey was a great consultant who helped pick out the perfect treatments for the space and how our family uses it. The treatments even arrived early and were installed in time for the holidays. I thought shopping local would cost more but their prices are extremely competitive and the personalized service worth it. I highly recommend them!

## Community Q&A

**Q: manufacture of glass shelving** *(in Photo Questions)*

Who is manufacture of glass shelving

A: Hi Gregg…I do not know the manufacturer of the glass shelving.

**Q: Mixing metals in the kitchen - HELP!!!!** *(in Polls)*

I am doing a new home build and stuck on kitchen metal finishes! Kitchen will feature panel covered appliances to match cabinets. Cabinets are BM Chantilly Lace, Island Base is BM Blue Porcelain, counters are Silestone Calcutta Gold, and floors are a light stained white oak wide plank. Original plan was to do Satin Brass hardware/faucet/pendant lights, but now worried I am "over brassing" our kitchen.

What would be best? Open to any other ideas!!!
1\. Stick with all brass
2\. Brass cabinet hardware and lights, change faucet to Polished nickel
3\. Brass lights only, change cabinet hardware and faucet to polished nickel

A: Keep it all brass. It will be beautiful!

**Q: mastercraft verses rowe** *(in Design Dilemma)*

reviews on sectionals

A: I love Rowe and they have a decent warranty.

**Q: Graber vs. Lutron Serena** *(in Home Decorating)*

I'm considering Graber motorized blinds, as well as the Lutron Serena. Graber would be hardwired ... Lutron is battery operated. Does anyone have experience with the new Graber app? What about motor noise? I know Lutron is very quiet. Graber website advertizes "whisper quiet" motors, but don't know how true that claim is. Would love to hear experience with either of these blinds/systems.

A: I am not familiar with the Graber motorized blinds but I have used Lutron. Lutron can also be hardwired and is a superior product. If I had the choice, I'd go with the Lutron!

**Q: Before/after - bookshelf design help** *(in Before & After)*

I could use some suggestions on a bookshelf - I completely changed the style of my family room/den so had nothing to put in bookshelf till yesterday - Homegoods binge. Over time I hope to fill with things I truly love and mean something - but couldn’t live with a empty bookshelf for 5 years :) would love any thoughts or advice.

A: Maybe try adjusting the shelves differently. Leave a larger space on the top of one side and maybe a larger space near the bottom on the other to accomodate larger accessories or even a painting. Get creative!

**Q: Where to stop painting** *(in Paint)*

Help! I love the look of the black paint under the stairs but I'm guessing I should have left it white. If I keep it black, where do I stop? It makes sense that the other side of the stairs is black as well and then I have to go all the way up the stairs on both sides. Then there is not white trim on stairs at all. Would I paint the trim under the black black too? If I keep it black, where do I stop? Or should I just paint it white again?

A: I agree with beckysharp. It looks too busy in the space. Paint all white, especially for staging.
