With this bathroom, he uncovered horrible old termite and water damage in the exterior wall. He suggested and I agreed to replace everything to the exterior brick. He is very professional and provides detailed estimates and billing and stayed within our budget. He works pretty much alone, so it takes a little longer, but the result is definitely worth waiting for. He sweats the details. For example, our bathroom tile had a subtle pattern that most installers would have ignored. But Craig laid out all of the tile pieces and matched the patterns to give a natural flow to the resulting installation. He's extremely neat and minimizes the disruption and mess while completing the job. He is always ready to provide his advice as to the best solutions to design issues and we always proceeded with his recommendations. We were out of town for portions of his work but felt completely comfortable giving him access to our house while we were away. We needed him to come back when we had a leak in our shower pan, necessitating ripping out the floor of our master shower, replacing the pan and re-tiling the shower. He could have easily covered it up and moved on, apparently that's what the renovation team did when I bought the house 15 years ago and had the tub installed. The job was completed on Friday with the installation of the frameless shower doors. I could not be happier with the outcome. Not only does it look great, but the workmanship is top notch. I told Craig the highest compliment I can give someone is that they treated the job as if it were their own home. He is a meticulous perfectionist when it comes to his work. He shows up when he says he'll be there, puts in whatever hours are necessary to move the job along, and impeccably cleans up the worksite every day before he leaves. His itemized invoices are great in that you see every line item for what he is billing. Not just some lump sum amount due with a minimal description. I consider myself very lucky that I found him online through this website. The answer is no. Swtich and plug recepticles have metal tabs top and bottom that overlap the front-side of the tile. What you may need though depending on the depth of the rough-in box is longer screws to mount the outlet to the rough-in box. Also, make sure that the tile cutout is smaller than the perimeter of the outlet cover but, clears the small screw hole for the outlet cover mounting screw. **Q: what is the measurements of the shower niche? The niche / shower box was custom framed. I used 1/4” Hardie Backer board on inside sides and back. You could also use Schluter Kerdi waterproofing membrane. The shelves are 2cm quartz counter top material supported by the tile on sides and back. You could also use Schluter Shelf-N. I believe the boxes are 12w x 16h.
