> I hired Tina to redecorate my two bathrooms and add a foyer closet. I wanted to add warmth, lighting and a feeling of tranquillity in my master bathroom. In the smaller bathroom, lighting was again important as well as utilizing colors etc. to create a more spacious feel. She was incredibly creative in her recommendations and accomplished all of my goals and resulted in what I feel are very unique ideas at a reasonable cost. This was the second time I hired Tina and was very pleased with both experiences. She works at trying to understand your personal preferences and style and then matches her design ideas to that. Exceptional work!

> I am not a design client of Creative Design Group, but rather, Tina Pronovost and I are colleagues.
> Tina is the consummate professional. With a faith-based work ethic, she works hard and has a vast knowledge of her field. That's why she has so many repeat clients. She is extremely talented in interior design (can create beautiful interiors for you) yet a savvy business person ( can save you money because she is smart with her resources). Her clients will always get a fair price and receive top notch service. I have seen her make window treatments and accessories with her own sewing machine when an emergency arose or a workroom messed up. I've seen her deliver furniture pieces or artwork in her van the night before a holiday, or a customer's important event. She'll even roll up her sleeves and pitch in with whatever it takes to get a job done, from paint to power tools. You will not be disappointed if you hire Creative Design Group.

**Comment from Creative Design Group LLC:**

> Pam, Thank you so very much for your kind words!

> Tina is the best! I hired her for window treatments, but she is highly skilled in all aspects of decorating. She is patient, super easy to deal with and very creative. .

> Tina really listens to her clients, creates very individual designs, and has very good follow-through. I have recommended her work to many friends who are equally delighted with her services.

 - Description: A full demolition was done in this 2nd floor hall bathroom. The client wanted to update the traditional 80's style and have a more contemporary feel. The space is a typical 5x8ft. space found in center hall colonials of the northeast. A marble like porcelain tile was used in a 13' square set on a diagonal for the floor. We continued the same tile, only in a rectangular shape, up the walls to the ceiling giving a feeling of spaciousness and height to the room. To add character we used a 3 ft high…

 - Description: In this small, main floor, powder room update we used a 12" porcelain tile set on the diagonal to give a more spacious feel. To add some detail and interest to this plain space, we designed a tiled area rug in front of the sink with a slate mosaic tile and border. By bringing this same slate tile up to the mirror area we were able to add interest and function as well as unifying the space. A smaller scaled toilet was used to allow more space. Adding a furniture style vanity, with ample storage a…

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where can I buy these shower doors that open like double french doors** *(in Photo Questions)*

I've been looking everywhere to purchase shower doors similar to the ones in the picture...for a tub, hinged on both ends with both doors opening out like double french doors. Thanks.

A: Hi Mary, The shower doors are custom. This one is a frameless french style door. You can contact your local glass company, most carry a variety of glass doors and enclosures. They will measure and install as well. Best wishes in your project!

**Q: How wide are the shelves? Can a bath towel fit on the shelf** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hi Ed, These floating shelves are 8" deep and 18" wide. They do come deeper however if using them over the toilet area you don't want them too wide. Yes, a bath towel will fit if folded or rolled correctly. Hope that helps!

**Q: Mirror** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where can I buy the same mirror?

A: It is a great mirror, jbtuxedo, it is from Ballard Designs. Unfortunately, I don't think it is available anymore, however they have something similar.

**Q: Wants vs Needs** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Am I the only one here who thinks there are way too many people out there busting their finances on fancy, expensive home materials? Good lord, what on earth is wrong with laminate countertops, for instance. So many colors/patterns to choose from, not excessively costly, easy to clean & disinfect. I don't get it. Why over spend? Is it a status thing or designer push?

A: I agree, a good design, no matter what room or budget, is a good design. We would all like to work on those big budget projects and give those clients the best of everything, however that is not reality. I believe a good design is affordable at any budget.

**Q: Have you used Ikea cabinets in your kitchen?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am smack dab in the middle of a kitchen remodel and truthfully, I should have ordered my cabinets weeks ago but I'm still undecided. If you've used Ikea cabinets, could you give me the pros and cons of them. (Are they good quality? How do they hold up to daily use? Etc.)

A: I've had clients that used Ikea for kitchen remodels and were very happy with the cabinetry and the price!

**Q: Front door - red or black?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Would love a poll on whether to paint this door red (probably BM Dinner Party) or high gloss black!

It will have an Emtek polished brass door handle (pictured). The columns on the front porch are now clad in white, but I didn't get a chance to grab a photo yet.

The side door of the house is high gloss black.

Although other colours would certainly look nice, my mother has narrowed it down to between these final two - deep red or black.

Thank you!

A: Red, Red, Red! I Like the BM Dinner Party.
