Unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing and costly. > > From the start, he failed to show integrity in his commitments. He did not personally supervise the work; instead, he attempted to “manage” the project remotely from Texas, while my home is in Maryland. Subcontractors were left unsupervised, and the quality of work suffered greatly. > Despite receiving substantial payments, the work was incomplete and poorly executed. My new contractor had to redo much of what was done. > > In the end, he left with a significant amount of money, leaving me with very little from my loan to complete the renovation. I strongly caution anyone considering hiring this contractor: in my experience, he was unreliable, dishonest in his promises, manipulative, and delivered substandard work. **Comment from Done Renovations:** > This review is very deceptive. We were hired and approved by Miss Domche's bank to do her renovation project, and the bank funded the project based on completion. There was an inspector hired by the bank to inspect the work prior to any disbursement of funds. Miss Domche cancelled the contract prematurely because she wanted us to go outside of the bank-approved scope of work, though she had been warned by the bank to refrain from doing so. Paperwork: after an extended discussion of what was desired, promptly provided a contractual document that included a succinct scope of work, a REALISTIC timeline for completion and a geerous list of allowances for fixtures, etc. > Personnel: all work was accomplished by ProBath employees. A plumbing subcontractor was used for the actual water hookups. In each case, workers were competent, courteous, and cleaned up well at the end of each day. > 5\.
