> We appreciated the great work and extra attention everyone at McLusky's gave us, would gladly recommend them to friends and family.

**★★★★★ — Christopher Balluch, July 2025**

> Thank you for all you have done!! Also, it has been a pleasure talking with Kim and Kris on the phone who have made the process seamless. Kris is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Jeff did a fantastic job. He was friendly, meticulous, and answered our questions. Our 50-year-old kitchen is now a modern gem. In addition, we were having problems with our phone so I called McLusky's because they know where we live. Kim said they could come the following day before noon. They came to our home as they were in the area. Jeff discovered the problem with the phone and he fixed it. As before, he was friendly and professional. Jim even called to make sure the issue with the phone was resolved. I wish I could leave more than five stars in this review. You guys are the best!!!

**Comment from McLusky Showcase Kitchens & Baths:**

> Thank you so much for the kind review! We're thrilled you love your kitchen and truly appreciate your kind words about Kris, Kim, and Jeff. > My wife and I were very pleased with the results of our kitchen remodel. We had ceramic floors, quartz countertops, backsplash , quartz sink and new faucet installed. Kris and Jim were extremely helpful in the decision process on picking out the products that would match or existing cabinets. Kim kept us informed on the time line and John , Austin and Jeff did a professional installation job. We couldn't be happier .

**★★★★★ — Bob Clarke, Aug. 2023**

> The total gutting of our 1970 kitchen (in a 1850 house) was nothing short of fantastic. Quality work, excellent team. Process was begun months prior to the remodeling with consultation at the showroom, visit to our house to access the project and thorough review of computer generated pictures of what the completed project would look like. Consultation and great communication throughout the project (7 weeks). We recommended McLuskys to a friend and he too gives them the highest recommendation after the completion of his kitchen remodel.

**★★★★★ — Lori Sinopoli, Nov. 2022**

> Excellent! We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen. Dennis, our sales representative, was awesome and did a great job planning our remodel. Our installers were extremely professional. It was a long process, but the end result was even better than we imagined.

> From start to finish, the project was done in a most professional manner. I received outstanding design assistance from Kris McLusky - including tips and suggestions that made a world of difference as to the look of the final product. All workmanship and products were of the highest quality. The workers were friendly, skilled, and cleaned up daily. Any delays necessitated by “supply chain disruptions” were fully explained and an accurate timeline for resolution was provided at each stage of the project. Jim McLusky was involved in the reno in an effort to ensure the work was completed as planned. Every aspect of the project was fully delineated and explained. The final statement matched the initial estimate - no surprises. My neighbors routinely comment on the overall look and workmanship of the project. Many are now considering some projects of their own using McLusky’s. Totally worth it!

The work crew worked diligently with skill & knowledge all day and cleaned up before they left. They were kind and very professional. They made the transformation exciting and actually fun! The BEST part was the 16 day finish line. OMG!!! We never thought our new kitchen could be done in 16 days. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!! It’s absolutely stunning! The cabinets, countertops & tile are GORGEOUS!! We are so grateful for Jim & his team and appreciate their dedication to our project & making us happy. This is the place & these are the people. ## Community Q&A

**Q: shower wall tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

what was the name of tile used for this shower wall? how much was it for sq ft?

A: Raeeun, The tile is used in that project was a 12” x 24” called White Marmi Calacatta. We retail this tile for $4.99 per sf.
Thanks,
Jim

**Q: Beautiful kitchen. What is the name of the quartz on the countertop?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: This kitchen was designed with using Delicatus Quartz, thanks for the compliments.

**Q: paint color of cabinets** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: McLusky Showcase Kitchens & Baths is happy to help with your question regarding finish color. This kitchen we used our paint color Cotton with a Van Dyke Brown Glaze.

**Q: What type of granite is this?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: 3 cm Tuscan Persia Granite

**Q: Who's the cabinet maker and what is the name of the granite?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The backsplash that we designed on the "White Craftsman Style kitchen" project was using a pencil style stone medley 4" listel then 4" x 8" honed classic tumbled stone with 1" x 1" oil rubbed diamonds turned to a square and cut in. The painted cabinet color is Cotton with a glaze.

**Q: kitchen reno advice needed** *(in Design Dilemma)*

my wife and i are finally ready to update our 90's 'U shaped' kitchen which is part of an open concept living room and dining room. we are toying with the concept of removing the U and going with an L shape which is anchored on one side by the fridge (current position but moved to the right a few inches) and a 12" deep double pantry on the other (close to the DR window) with a 60" long by 36" wide island with all prep area on the top and drawers on one side, seating for 2 pub chairs on the other (the end of the island counter would leave 3' between it and the start of the living room carpet behind the seats). I'm very interested in hearing perceived pros and con's from the Houzz community, and am also open for suggestions. a few questions as well: is 36" enough space between an island and the sink/countertop? would the 12" deep pantry block too much light from the DR window? thanks guys!

A: From a designers point of view there are some basic problems with your present design that could be improved on. Our showroom has three designers and if you asked all three to design your kitchen you would most likely have three total different designs but all three would have the same fundamentals to improve your present kitchen. The following are just some ideas for you to consider:
1\. An L-Shape layout lends itself well to your space (better than a U-Shape) and would make the dining area feel like part of one space not two smaller spaces.
2\. Remove the bulkheads and either stagger the cabinet height or run the cabinets to the ceiling.
3\. I thinks it a bad idea to place the 12" depth pantry to the right of the window it will crowd the space and make the kitchen feel smaller. Instead move the sink to the center of the window. Run your cabinets to the left of the sink window out towards the other window angling them back to the wall using angle end wall and base cabinets.
4\. Move the cooking into the new island getting it away from the window. Perhaps angle the island 45 degrees to the L-Shape in order to increase the island length to accommodate the cooking unit(s)
5\. Update the lighting, perhaps LED can lights in the ceiling, LED under cabinet lights and pendants over the island.
6\. Consider a microwave drawer unit instead of the OTR
7\. Find a new home for the dog bowls out of the kitchen.
Just some things to consider, good luck on your new kitchen.
