I need to know how many pendant lights I should use and what size globes (mini pendant 7.5" wide globe) or the (large 15.5" globe).. By the way, the light pendants I like use 100 watt bulbs, and prefer them to be centered in the ceiling, and not on each side. Remodeling the kitchen will start in about 3 weeks, so need help now. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. A: which side of the kitchen are you using the pendant? **Q: Kitchen island lighting** *(in Design Dilemma)* Hello... What is new for above the island for lighting the kitchen is white cabinets.. Wood plank floors.. Cambria Quartz counters.. A: Pendant lights are great for above the island and if you do not like pendant I would install LED recessed lights. **Q: Help with Cambria choice** *(in Design Dilemma)* Want to make sure my colors coordinate. I am looking at putting Berkely on the island with Laneshaw on my perimeter cabinets. Any thoughts? A: I think the Lighter color! all the best for you kitchen project. **Q: HARDWOOD FLOOR DETAILS** *(in Design Dilemma)* SHOULD MY HARDWOOD FLOOR INSTALLER HAVE SANDED THE SHOE MOLD PRIOR TO STAINING AND INSTALLING IT? IT SEEMS THEY DID NOT SAND. THEY ARE VERY ROUGH, AND MY DUST RAG PICKS AND CATCHES ON IT. AS WELL, THEY DID NOT FILL THE FINISH NAIL HOLES. THEY ARE VERY VISIBLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE MAJORITY OF THE NEWLY INSTALLED AND FINISHED HARDWOOD FLOOR LOOKS GOOD, BUT THE EDGES SEEM TO BE ROUGH, AND BUMPY, WITH SOME PUDDLING NEXT TO CABINETS WHERE THERE WILL BE NO SHOE MOLD. THERE ARE ALSO VISIBLE SANDING SWIRL MARKS. FYI, WE USED JACOBEAN COLOR STAIN. DOES THAT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE? DID I HAVE A LESS THAN STELLAR JOB DONE? A: you should have them come back and take care of your concerns, **Q: Pick the color** *(in Polls)* BM Brewster gray or BM chocolate velvet for our foyer. A: I would go with chocolate, Good Luck! **Q: Should we have fabricator re-do our countertop seams?** *(in Design Dilemma)* We just had Silestone Lagoon countops installed a couple weeks ago & are unhappy with the seams: on the countertop & along the ogee edge. I would like other's opinions about whether these seams are acceptable? I watched the guys install it, & they did it by hand, no clamps or assistive devices. We have stated our concerns, but they "seem" to have written us off. Thanks for your feedback. A: I think if they use lighter color epoxy on the seam it would look less visible.
