> Cabinets were installed in my living room were shorter than what we ordered. Installer gad a dofferent set of blueprints than what was ordered so he put them in w/ incorrect measurements.
> After I found the error, the cabinets were left here for weeks along with a large pile of shipping and packaging materials in my living room.
> In the kitchen,
> No. Shelves arrived for the bar.
> Weeks later, Wood shelves arrived instead of glass shelves as specified..
> NO shelves arrived for some of the office cabinets.
> The company itself seems in no hurry to correct these mistakes, now that we have paid in full.
> After well over $100,000 for a kitchen and an office wall- we still dont have all the pieces we paid for. Installation began in early May. Today is july 7thif you actually want what u pay for in terms of completion efficiency of measurement, you may need to go elsewhere!
> Also note: if u don’t get appliances through them , they don’t install them.

> I hired Bake’s and Kropp over two years ago.. At the end of the day, the kitchen cabinets are very nice. However… it’s still not finished. I can not get anyone to call me back. I take days off work, wait on electricians, who never show up, No one calls me back. The job was sloppy and there were actual screaming matches between the sub’s during the process. They even sent children, using no painter’s tape, to do the painting. I’m beyond frustrated and I have had to hire my own separate subs to try to repair the issues. I have tried everything… but the moment I made the mistake of writing the final check… they disappeared. No matter how I try, they are just done.

> We commissioned an over $210,000 kitchen renovation in late fall 2018. This was simply not the quality of work and service that we expected for this cost. To start they made so many small and large oversights over the course of the project. The floor was done wrong and discolored, a custom table was too low, electrical work not done as we requested, cabinets finished irregularly out of the factory, a dishwasher not installed properly and was loose, the sink faucet defective, Cabinets and Soffit not installed properly and leveled. We could go on and on and on. We understand issues arise in a complex job, but We had to continuously oversee and push them to fix problem after problem-that isn’t our job. Oftentimes we just got fed up and paid our other contractor(s) to just get Bakes’ work done. They would say things were done, and we needed to review every detail because they were just not careful or done correctly. Then to make it all worse they made multiple unilateral design decisions without discussing with us that we needed to pay for to get corrected-eg, wrong color of a countertop and an incorrect back splash. Of course, this was OUR fault. We are very careful and are absolutely confident they didn’t do what we wanted, nor did they ask us to confirm key design issues. Then after a few months in and we had a long paper trail of issues, we said we just couldn’t work with the appointed designer and we needed a switch in point contact. Then the owner Bakes has the audacity to say my wife and I are "difficult". We were stuck with them once we were deep in and financially committed and they made things more and more difficult as they got paid. We consistently from the start paid them on time and everything was a burden and frankly wasted our time. As of May 2019, we still had a long punch list of to-do’s that expanded over the following weeks that was never done despite multiple requests. Its end of Sept 2019 and now they say "we have someone this week to get it done" and then can’t understand why we are upset with them. We already commissioned our other contractor again to finish their work.
> Finally, and on top of everything else, the warranty that they gave AFTER the work was done this summer of 2019, has a clause that says "...and which our examination shall disclose to our satisfaction to be defective." That is so absurd. It needs to be a "reasonable" assessment, NOT their unilateral decision. It indicates a BAKES first attitude, and not a CUSTOMER first attitude. We have read the other reviews which are good, but we can tell you firsthand that this was not pleasurable at all and we are still not where we should be with the install.

> I needed an expert to help customize a kitchen, coffee station and butler's pantry for modern style home in Southampton, NY. Based on my due diligence, I decided to partner with Bob Bakes of Bakes and Kropp. It was a pleasure working with Bob in all phases of the project. We had our cabinets installed last week and they look great. The execution of all the cabinetry details and schedule for completion and installation was flawless. I'm looking forward to working with Bob and the Bakes and Kropp team again for my next project.

> I cannot say enough about B&K. Incredible design work, tailored to our personal needs down to the small details. Highest quality precision cabinetry and hardware that feels more like heirloom furniture than kitchen cabinets. Solid responsible communication at every step, delivered in a personal yet professional manner that is rarely seen these days. Literally, every morning when we walk into the kitchen we are so thankful for the experience and the result.
