### Reviews

**★★★★★ — RICK SCARPELLO, Dec. 2022**

> I was referred to Apropos Design by a friend and was told that i would not be disappointed and believe me i was was totally impressed with the finished work that was done to my home. Apropos Design had all the subs that i needed in place and all of them did a amazing job from the construction team for my kitchen, the stone company for my new fireplace, electricians, painters, and carpet company. They picked out new furniture for my rooms, area rugs for my floors, art work for the walls, new lighting fixtures, new ceiling fans and also picked out the new hardware for the kitchen and bathroom redo. My formal dinning room was transformed into a cocktail style sitting room which everyone that has seen it says with one word WOW... Look no further, Apropos design is your one stop design team.

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you, Rick!! It was great to work with you on the transformation to your home! We appreciate the trust you put in us to assist you with the design.

**★★★★★ — Nancy Brosamle, Dec. 2022**

> If you are looking for design assistance Apropos is your place. Positive, encouraging and responsive people who take the time to learn about the client in order to design the room/home/deck of your dreams. Excellent service and communication and highly recommended.

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you! It has been wonderful working with you on multiple areas of your home, inside and out. We are thankful for the opportunity and for the amazing relationship we have built together!

**★★★★★ — FRANK KEI, May 2022**

> Shandra was a pleasure to work with. She has great ideas and really understood what we were trying to achieve. Incredibly responsive and a quick turnaround on everything. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would like to work with her again.

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to work with you and I look forward to helping you in the future!

**★★★★★ — Kerry, April 2022**

> We worked with Shandra from Apropos Design to plan a kitchen refresh, and we are thrilled with the results. She was amazing from start to finish! She kept our style, budget, and family in mind during every step and selection, and her desire to meet our needs was evident. Shandra's keen ability to share her expertise in a collaborative manner elevates her above others in the field. She is highly respected by contractors in the area; therefore, she was able to match us with a contractor that matched our expectation levels for professionalism and quality. We can not thank Shandra enough for helping us turn our kitchen into our favorite room in the house!

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you, Kerry! I appreciate you taking the time to write a review for us. It was fun working with you and your family. I'm so happy that you are thrilled with your finished kitchen space-it looks awesome!

**★★★★★ — T, Jan. 2021**

> We are starting on a kitchen and entryway remodel and were wanting to hire someone to help us with potential layouts (beginning stages, basically). Shandra was able to work with our schedules so that both my husband and I could be at the meeting. She is very personable and was so willing and open to answering questions. She responded to emails and my many requests in a timely manner, and I never felt like I was bothering her or asking silly questions. We are very happy with our initial plans, and if I have any questions during the next stages of our remodel, she will be the first person I contact.

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> T, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! I have really enjoyed working with you to create your updated kitchen and new, more functional entry plans. It would be my pleasure to assist you if you need help in the future! Take care!

**★★★★★ — Amy Streckfuss, July 2018**

> Shandra was so easy to work with on our basement finishing project. She had wonderful ideas, was extremely responsive, engaged in the process and fun to be around! We had a really tricky basement pole right in the middle of the room. She had the idea to make a beautiful bookshelf out of it and it is the best part of the room. I would definitely call her again!

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you for your review, Amy! You were great to work with and it was so fun incorporating your pets' needs into the remodel. I'm so happy you are all enjoying the space!

**★★★★★ — Brenda Hillman, April 2018**

> After a house fire, we were faced with the unexpected task of rebuilding the interior of our home. Shandra patiently and expertly guided us through this process. She listened carefully to our needs and presented us with viable options, offering her expert advice throughout the entire process. We couldn't be happier with the results. It's obvious that Shandra loves what she does. It truly shows in the care and time she devotes to her customers.

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words, Brenda! It was such a pleasure to work with you to create a space that could truly welcome you back home to a place where you could feel safe and relax again. Cheers!!

**★★★★★ — Gina Griffin, April 2018**

> Wonderful service!! Shandra will help you with a little or with the entire project! She has a great eye for color and what styles go together! She helped us transform our family room, kitchen, laundry room and dining room. Very responsive, professional! Most importantly, very easy to talk to and listens!! I will hire again if we decide to tackle any more remodeling!

**Comment from Apropos Design:**

> Thank you so much Gina! The transformation of your house has been amazing and I so enjoyed working with you both. I value my clients and greatly appreciate you taking the time to post a review!
> Take care,
> Shandra

**★★★★★ — Carie Lynch, Dec. 2017**

> As a design professional who's seen Shandra in action, I would not hesitate to work with her. Shandra is a caring designer who takes the time to get to know you, understand your project and come up with a solution to fit your needs. She never ceases to amaze me at how she'll go the extra mile to do a project right and to do it well. She always has your best interest at heart and each project shows her eye for the details.

**★★★★★ — Furnishing Touches by Christine, Dec. 2017**

> I have known Shandra for several years now as a fellow industry professional. I always appreciate her warmth, and her hard-working yet easy-going nature, in addition to her passion for design and her professionalism! She makes working together fun as well as informative, and she always brings a creative eye to the project with terrific solutions for any scenario. She offers excellent ideas while incorporating her client's vision for their project, bringing all the details together for a cohesive and beautiful end result. A pleasure to work with, and a job well done...a winning combination!!!

**★★★★★ — Merle/Mary Dinslage, Aug. 2017**

> Working with Shandra Pettit was one of the best decisions we have ever made. At first we weren't certain about hiring an interior decorator, but she proved to be very valuable. She was professional, creative, energetic, patient and always open to our opinions. She had great ideas and brought up a lot of things we hadn't thought about before. We're very happy with our basement remodel. Thank you Shandra..

**★★★★★ — Jackie Nelson, Oct. 2016**

> Shandra did a great job on our master bedroom and bath. She understood our personalities, tastes and what we wanted to accomplish with the redesign. She brought creative and practical ideas to the table. Shandra was also flexible in how she worked with us taking into consideration our time constraints we had during the various stages of the project. Sometimes I went with her on shopping trips and other times she brought samples to our home.
> I highly recommend Shandra. She will work very hard to deliver a design you love.

  - Description: For this kitchen remodel, the client wanted painted cabinets and a wood floor. We kept the existing cabinets and added new matching cabinets and drawers to one wall. To give the client a place to display dishes and other items, we took out the panel on the upper cabinets in one section and replaced it with glass. We then painted the perimeter cabinets in an off white and the island in a rich brown. For the flooring, we selected an LVT with a wood look, instead of real wood, since the home is on…
