**Q: What is the dimensions/size of this island?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: I am fairly certain it was 96"x42"

**Q: hello!; Plane large format tile vs. Neolith; polished vs. honed** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi Patricia.  I searched house for "Plane Calacutta", and found your photos here.  Looking for countertops and backsplashes.  We love the Plane Calacutta product that you're showing here.  And, we also love the Neolith Estatuario!  They appear to be similar products, and both do an impressive job mimicking the real thing.  We're trying to determine which is more impervious to damage, and which looks better.  Or...are they both equal?!  I think the Neolith is thicker (12mm), which is probably better for a countertop.  As I understand it from Bedrosians, Plane Calacutta is either 6mm or 10mm (if polished A and B panels).  

Also, we have been warned about going with polished.  People say polished is much more subject to scratching and damage than honed/matte.  I think the manufacturers even say this is true.

Really impressive photos of your work, btw!  The caps/mitre cuts you have put on the counter extension (for bar stools) and into the sink are really great. 

Any insights you have on the above would be greatly appreciated!

**Q: Neolith Countertop - Yes or No?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I would love to hear feedback from anyone that has installed Neolith countertops and whether it was worth the investment, the cost seems comparable with high end CeaserStone choices. It seems like a great option but want to validate with someone that has actually installed Neolith and used it. Would also love to hear from anyone that has used the "Polished" version of Neolith slabs and whether that held up well and if there were any issues/annoyances with that version.

A: franchina - As a professional, I am sad to see that you did not get an educated fabricator to explain what you were getting.  We hate when our customers are disappointed.  Polished Neolith in a kitchen is a tough zone to put it as the polish coating is going to reflect any deficiency. 

The non-glossy approach is amazing in its durability.  We have done several scratch tests here in the shop.
