> My house is old and was shabby and unfinished.  I hired Kate Chudy with some trepidation because i wasn’t sure what i wanted and had a limited budget.  I’m not really into home decoration and I feared that my house would look studiously done or that Kate would take over.  Not at all. She was both sensitive and efficient. Her ideas were always in accord with my own admittedly haphazard sensibility. Over the course of several months she helped me choose countertops, lamps, side tables, rugs, pillows, and over 18 light fixtures, each one different and perfect in its own way.   When I decided I wanted to keep my old kitchen table and benches, she found a way to paint and update it.
