Based on our experience, I would not recommend using them. When we verbally agreed to the project, they told us it would take 2-3 weeks. The signed agreement stated they would do everything they could to complete it in 35 days. It took 147 days to complete! It was one delay after another and they would go weeks without doing any work. They changed the design of the roofline placement and as a result, caused stucco damage. They then said I was responsible for the stucco repair and it would cost $5000. I refused to pay but got a 2nd estimate for $1400 (vs, $5000). They eventually capitulated, but only after causing undue stress and delays. Consistent poor communication and promises made but not kept. **★ — HU-650930616, Sept. 2022** > This business hired a separate crew to complete our contracted work, which was a total re- landscape on a half acre. The crew not only did not know how to do the work, when they were unsupervised, they slept in our back yard and consistently left trash in our yard during our project. It took twice as long to complete. We had to argue to get the hard scape path done correctly. And now, we cannot get them to respond with replacing some plants that didn’t make it a year. Per our contract, they present they will do this, but they never respond to voicemails or emails, to schedule a delivery date. the owner just plays phone tag and never answers directly. Super unprofessional, unorganized and unaccountable. Should have fired them when their crew left beer cans scattered through out our yard, leaving it looking like a frat party. **★★★★★ — Doug Thomas, Feb. 2020** > When we set out to plan our project we knew we'd narrow down to five- (5) companies to show onsite and interview for this large endeavor. The scope of our project was to replace the original 8'x8' main floor deck and similar cement slab for the walkout basement with much larger outdoor living and entertaining spaces. We knew we'd have a therapeutic hot tub as well to help with our active lifestyles. We narrowed down to Nick (owner) and Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living and Decks. Nick was on time for the visit and he made us feel the most comfortable with getting our project done right and within budget. With Nick, there was never any pressure and he gave us options to fit our budget. He also gave us the pros and cons of features and materials and, fielded any question we had along the way. I told Nick upfront that I was meticulous and he said they would have no concerns with that. Well, Nick and his company didn't let us down. What we ended up with is night and day different and now we spend much more time outdoors at our house. The finished project included both a deck and patio that are 3-4 times larger than what we had. They added a roof to cover 2/3rds of the deck as well. They added an 8'x10' (the largest the HOA would allow) custom-built shed with windows, doors and a workbench. Gutters were moved and replaced. We have a custom-built staircase with landings. We had electrical work done as well including separate panels for the shed and hot tub as well as additional outlets and lighting for the new roof. We opted for the beetle kill pine for the roof to give a great look. We opted for the kiln-dried deck posts and joists. We opted for composite decking and metal railing. Shingles matched the house for both the shed and roof addition. The paint was added to match the house as well. We also opted for a dry below system, which has been great based on how much we use the patio area with our dual swing chair and 6 people hot tub. We had a gas line added within the deck, which feeds the large grill upgrade we opted for. Nick's company handled the permits and inspections as well, which gave us peace of mind. We couldn't be happier. A very professional group of folks including the design, engineering, craftsmanship, quality, and customer service. Thanks a bunch, Nick to you and your company! We expect to use your services again for additional landscaping and a kitchen remodel.
