### Featured Review

**★★★★★ — Jessie Paddock, May 2020**

> Great experience -- helped me come up with creative and affordable solutions for a 800 sq foot apartment renovation. I really appreciated their ability to provide a range of design options that fit within the low and high end of my budget and matched the aesthetic. Their handling of construction logistics and liasing with the contractor was especially thorough, professional, and timely.

**★★★★★ — scbochner, Jan. 2026**

> Very professional team-they worked on a pied a terre while I lived mostly elsewhere;they helped make what could have been a very stressful situation painless. They always responded in a timely manner to questions, were incredibly helpful with detailed CAD drawings so we could hone in on the tiniest of design elements (like the proper orientation of my hardwood floors), and were endlessly helpful and open to collaboration with a sometimes detail obsessed client! . I highly recommend them.

> We have absolutely loved our experience working with Do Not Let Us Design. Taylor has made our house a home with all her beautiful ideas. Each room that they have done came out exquisite. They have incredible style and understand what the client is looking for. I look forward to more projects with Do Not Let Us Design.

**★★★★★ — HU-4524627993, Dec. 2024**

> Taylor and Yashly are a dynamic duo! They listened to exactly what we wanted… always checking in with us and giving us many options. This was a gut renovation of a one bedroom Manhattan apartment that had been pretty much untouched for 40 years. New sound proofed floors, full new kitchen and bath with exquisite marble and textures, all new electrical and spectacular lighting fixtures, skim coat all walls, paint and window coverings. Worked extremely well with the contractor which we believe is critical if a job like this is to be done correctly and on time.

> If you have a vision and dream, Taylor and Yashlie from Do Not Let Us Design, will bring your vision and dreams to life. I live in a small one-bedroom apartment in NYC with a dog - Taylor and Yashlie executed my vision perfectly and made my space cross functional to support a framework of a house in an 800 sq. ft apartment. They are knowledgeable, professional and most importantly, will get things done. Their patience and expertise are bar none and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished result and product. Their network and connections in the industry will ensure your vision is exactly as you dreamed, and they will be with you every step of the way.

> I look forward to working with Taylor and Yashlie to design and update my future weekend home!

> Yashlie and Taylor are an incredible duo! We met them right before the pandemic; with that came a lot of delays and patience. They worked with us for over a year to help our vision come to life, while also staying in our budget. DNLUD is extremely professional and we are so thankful for the team! Hope to work on more projects together

> Could not have done my move without this company. Besides the decoration, everything was organized from movers, TV, carpet, wallpaper installation and more.
> The end result was beautiful. Bedroom, den and living room were all furnished, and even extra closets were built.

**★★★★★ — HU-430368295, April 2021**

> Amazing and collaborative process. Yashlie and Taylor were very kind, flexible, and fun to work with. They provided excellent resources and ideas - and gently nudged me when my ideas didn’t quite fit.
>
> I was grateful that they kept my budget in mind throughout the entire process. Grateful for my beautiful home :)

**★★★★★ — terin\_izil, Sept. 2020**

> I could not be happier with the look of my apartment. It felt like they really got my personality and helped me create a home that reflected it. I've even found that when I'm meditating, my mind puts me in my livingroom looking at the wallpaper they found. I couldn't have asked for a better finished product, process, or team.

**★★★★★ — Attila Szucs, June 2020**

> Do Not Let Us Design is an excellent company. They really know what they are doing. Throughout all of the many project we have worked together with they always were eager to work with the clients and contractors. They kept all work on schedule at all times and made sure every aspect of the project was well organized.

**★★★★★ — Karen G, May 2020**

> Yashlie and Taylor did a great job for us! We absolutely love how our apartment looks and we could not have done it without them. On the one hand, we had a specific idea of what we wanted in our place but we did not have many details in mind - Yashlie and Taylor listened to what we wanted and were able to take it from there in helping us fill in the details. They helped pick out furniture, paint colors, wall paper, art, light fixtures, bedding, etc. basically everything! Additionally, they were extremely professional in all respects - they were on time to every appointment and phone conference and, given that the apartment they helped furnish was our second home, they pushed the process along without us being physically present. Moreover, they were careful about staying within our budget. I would recommend them to anyone and if I needed something else decorated, they would be my first call.

## Community Q&A

**Q: NYC Tiny Bedroom decoration ideas** *(in Home Decorating)*

Our bedroom is very small, dark, and oddly shaped. Do you have any decorating ideas to make it nice? We'd like to go for a relaxing minimalist aesthetic. We are flexible with decorations but want to keep existing furniture:

What we need ideas for:

Bedding
Any decorative details

What we have:

Bed https://www.cb2.com/andes-acacia-full-bed/s652417 (we will have to remove one of the night stands to fit)
Drawer Chest https://www.cb2.com/linear-tall-chest/s556916
Mountain Painting with blue and gold tones

Room plan below:

A: Hi Anna,

We came across your question and as fellow New Yorkers we know the struggle of space! We havent seen the space but we would recommend painting walls white (ie Benjamin Moore White Dove) to offset the rich wood in the existing furniture. The bed is minimal so we would do some minimal sconces, a light textured area rug, neutral bedding, and pull some color from the art piece for the lumbar decorative pillow. Finish it off with a big floor mirror to open up the space and for a real statement add a fun wallpaper on the ceiling! Hope this helps :)

Stay safe and well from the NYC designer duo,
Taylor + Yashlie

**Q: Bathroom paint colour for walls** *(in Paint)*

I’m looking for a bathroom paint colour with with go nicely with KitchenCraft Alabaster cabinets. Quartz countertop is Radianz Orion and fixtures are matte black. Room is 5x12 with no windows. Would like something in the white family.

A: Hi Again!

The Cloud Cover will most likely give you a monotone look but we would recommend you paint some sample swatches as you have no natural light in the space and that would alter the color with all the shadows in the space. Hope that makes sense!

Best,
Taylor + Yashlie
