Scherling Contracting Group is built on four generations of experience. Originating  in Troy Hill, Ed worked alongside his father and grandfather where he honed his woodworking and contracting skills. Through hard work and dedication, Ed built a career in the construction industry and passed that work ethic to his children. In 2020, Brandon decided to pursue a similar path, with dedication to quality and customer experience. We have created a team of qualified designers and builders to bring your projects to life. We know that renovations are a big commitment-- both financially and personally. We pride ourselves in helping clients understand the process, make smart decisions, and ultimately aim to have as little impact on your life as possible throughout the renovation. The only thing we haven't solved for? What to do when we finish a project and the clients still want us to come over because we've become part of their families.

> After 50 years and many house remodeling experiences, Brandon Scherling is without doubt the best I have ever had.  He listens to what you want, makes as many (or as few) suggestions as you want, pays attention to costs and is personally engaging.  Best of all, he comes every day, on time, and if he can't make it, he calls to let you know why.  He generally prefers to work 6 hours per day: 9 to 3 or 4, but in that time he gets as much done as most contractors in 8 or more.  His subcontractors all have worked with him for some time and all work together well.  Most important, they do a great job, paying attention to the small details and the large ones.  I recommend him without question.
> Our project was a total kitchen remodel, including floor, walls, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, demolition of old kitchen.  Price was reasonable:  not the lowest, but also not the highest.  He did not start the project until all supplies were available and on site, so once begun, he worked continuously until finishing 6 weeks later.

> During the past two years, Brandon has done a number of projects for us, including a complete overhaul of our master bathroom, removal and rebuild of our deck, and an overhaul of our half bathroom, as well as some smaller projects. He approaches each project as if he were working on his own home. He strives for perfection and stands behind the quality of his work. He started by totally gutting the house down to the studs and remodeled the entire house in our aggressive 6 month timeline, he completed the project early and within our budget! This was our first time using a general contractor but I can't imagine finding a better one. Brandon shows up when he says he will; does what he says he will and finishes everything on time.  He welcomes open communication throughout the entire process and listens and responds accordingly.  His workmanship, along with his subcontractor's is top-notch. > Scherling Contracting group completed two projects for me that included installing a back splash in my kitchen and constructing a powder room in my lower level.  The back splash came out better than I ever expected.  The powder room included drywalling, installation of the toilet, sink, fixtures and ceiling fan.  They also painted the room, tiled the floor, hung the door and installed the baseboards.  Both projects were completed in the timeframe given, two weeks!  The estimated cost of these two projects were completed within budget.  I definitely would use them again.
