Their attention to detail and quality of workmanship really stood out, and they delivered exactly what they promised. > The biggest red flag when working with a contractor is needing an attorney just to get answers.
>
> I hired Construction Corps to rebuild my home after it flooded during Hurricane Helene. The home had already been gutted, cleaned, and professionally treated immediately after the flooding, so the primary scope of work was rebuilding the home and replacing the plumbing.
>
> The owner continues to claim my project stopped because I lacked funds. My experience was different. The project stopped after I refused to pay additional charges for plumbing work that I had fully disclosed before signing the contract, including photos, videos, and a plumbing inspection showing full pipe replacement was needed. I was told this work was included in the original quote.
>
> The owner has been extremely challenging to work with throughout this process. In my experience, customer service and addressing legitimate concerns appear to be at the bottom of his priority list. Rather than working toward solutions, simple requests for documentation and clarification have turned into months of frustration.
>
> More than six months after my attorney requested documentation, I still have not received a clear accounting of completed work, supporting cost documentation, or a return of funds. Based on the work I can verify was not completed, I believe more than $20,000 remains unaccounted for. I have repeatedly been told that because the project was bid as a whole rather than by line item, there is no need to explain specific charges or provide proof of completed work.
>
> Meanwhile, my home remains unfinished with a large hole in the structure and no completed plumbing work visible. Transparency, accountability, and communication matter. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

**★★★★★ — Aliya Garcia, June 2026**

> We hired Construction Corps for a major renovation of our Clearwater home, which included a master suite addition and a full-home remodel. From the initial planning stages through completion, the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
>
> What impressed us most was their attention to detail and professionalism throughout the project. They managed the structural work, permitting, and integration of the new addition seamlessly, keeping everything organized and moving forward on schedule. Their communication was excellent, and we always felt informed about progress and next steps.
>
> The quality of craftsmanship was outstanding. Because they utilize an in-house team, there was a high level of accountability and consistency throughout the project. Every aspect of the work was completed with care and precision, and their commitment to code compliance and structural integrity gave us confidence that the job was being done correctly.
>
> Large-scale renovations can be stressful, but Construction Corps made the process smooth and manageable. We highly recommend Matt Thompson and the Construction Corps team to anyone considering a home addition, whole-home remodel, or other complex residential project. We are extremely pleased with the final result and would gladly work with them again.

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Thank you so much for this wonderful review. It was a genuine pleasure working with you on your master suite addition and full-home remodel in Clearwater, and we are thrilled the final result exceeded your expectations.
>
> You captured exactly what we work to deliver at Construction Corps. As a veteran-owned, design-build general contractor serving Pinellas County and the greater Tampa Bay area, our in-house team is what allows us to hold that higher standard of craftsmanship, accountability, and consistency from planning through completion. Managing the structural work, permitting, and integration of a new addition as one coordinated process is core to how we keep large renovations organized, on schedule, and as smooth as possible for our clients.
>
> Thank you for trusting our team with such a significant project and for recommending us to others considering a home addition or whole-home remodel. We would gladly work with you again as well. You can always reach us at our Clearwater office at 2054 Weaver Park Drive or by phone at (727) 999-1855.

> Incredible ADU Build Quality and Flawless Design Collaboration!
>
> Construction Corps is hands down the most reliable and professional team we have ever worked with. They recently built an ADU for my brother in law, and the quality of the craftsmanship is absolutely amazing. We stay there frequently during the holidays to spend time with family, and the space is perfect. It is beautifully built, comfortable, and even serves as a great, functional workspace for me when I need to get things done.
> Because of that incredible experience, we did not hesitate to hire them for our own upcoming project. We are currently in the design phase for a new build on a property we purchased last year in Tampa, and the collaboration has been fantastic.
> From day one, their communication has been flawless. They provide timely, transparent updates so we always know exactly where things stand in the planning process. On top of their stellar work ethic, they are a veteran owned business, which is something we proudly stand behind 100%. If you want elite build quality, reliable design partnership, and a team that actually keeps its promises, we highly recommend Construction Corps!

> if in the future we need to do another project for sure Construction Corp be the one to be hired

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Jose,
>
> Thank you for sharing your experience and for trusting Construction Corps with your home remodel.
>
> Your project involved a wide range of work including roofing, structural repairs, electrical, plumbing, pavers, and full interior upgrades. Completing a renovation of that scale while the home is occupied requires strong planning, coordination, and consistent communication, and we are glad our team delivered that for you.
>
> At Construction Corps, we specialize in full-service residential remodeling and design-build construction throughout Clearwater and the greater Tampa Bay area. > After Hurricanes Helena and Milton, I thought I might have lost the 1938 Beach Cottage I had owned and loved since 1982. She was so badly damaged with water 3+ feet high inside the house, rapdily growing mold and endless red tape/bureaucracy to overcome with the City, County and FEMA (50% Rule)!
>
> Matt Thompson/Construction Corps reached out after seeing my post on Facebook. Construction Corps did the mold remediation and then began the process of restoring the Beach Cottage after waiting 322 days to get permits! Winter assisted with Permits, Jonathan developed the Proposal, Jedi oversaw the Project and so many others assisted in the restoration. All the Construction Corps employees and subcontractors were polite and professional throughout the process.
>
> While FEMA 50% Rule restricted us in some ways, Construction Corps (employees and subcontractors) restored much of the look, character and feel of the original 1938 Beach Cottage. (Shiplap Walls, 1910 Cast Iron Tub, Archway) The quality of work and attention to detail was excellent!
>
> Thank You to Construction Corps, ALL their employees and subcontractors for helping me save my sweet little 1938 Beach Cottage!

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Marsha,
>
> Thank you for sharing your story. Projects like yours are exactly why we do this work.
>
> Restoring a historic 1938 beach cottage after hurricane damage, especially with over 3 feet of water intrusion, active mold, and FEMA 50 percent rule restrictions, is one of the most complex types of residential construction projects in Florida. Add in City, County, and FEMA coordination along with a 322 day permitting process, and it requires persistence, planning, and the right team to see it through.
>
> I want to recognize the people you mentioned. Winter working through permitting, Jonathan developing a clear and structured proposal, and Jedi managing the project in the field. Along with our crews and subcontractors, this was a true team effort from mold remediation through full home restoration.
>
> What matters most to us is that we were able to preserve the character of your home. Rebuilding the shiplap walls, retaining the cast iron tub, and restoring architectural details like the archway is what separates a standard rebuild from a proper historic home restoration.
>

> Construction Corps added and addition to our home last year. We love it! They provided a quality product that exceeded our expectations. Professional services and team, highly recommended.

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Thank you for the review, we appreciate you sharing your experience.

> Home additions are one of the most impactful ways to improve both function and value, and they require proper planning across design, engineering, and construction to get right. I'm glad to hear the addition exceeded your expectations and that our team delivered a result you're happy with.

**★★★★★ — Susan Lockhart, March 2026**

> We completed a full renovation of our home earlier this year, including a large primary bedroom and a beautiful master bathroom addition, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience.
>
> From the very beginning, the communication stood out. During the design and engineering phase, the team took the time to walk us through everything carefully. They explained the plans, helped us think through layout decisions, and made thoughtful suggestions that genuinely improved the project. I always felt informed and comfortable with the process, which was incredibly important given the scale of the renovation.
>
> The craftsmanship throughout the home is exceptional. The new bedroom is spacious and peaceful, and the master bathroom feels like something out of a boutique hotel. The tile work, cabinetry, lighting, and overall finishes are beautifully executed. Every detail feels intentional and well done, which is exactly what we were hoping for when we decided to invest in such a large project.
>
> Just as important, the people working in our home were consistently kind, respectful, and professional. Everyone who came through the house was courteous and clearly took pride in their work. It made a huge difference to feel comfortable with the team while living through a renovation.
>
> Another thing I deeply appreciated was how clean and organized the site was kept. Renovations can easily become chaotic, but the crew made a real effort to maintain order and respect our home. Tools were put away, debris was managed properly, and the house never felt out of control during construction.
>
> In the end, the entire experience felt thoughtful, professional, and very well managed from start to finish. The final result has completely transformed our home, and we're genuinely grateful for the level of care and craftsmanship that went into it. I would recommend them without hesitation.

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. Projects like yours are exactly what we strive to deliver.
>
> A full home renovation with a primary bedroom addition and master bathroom buildout requires careful planning from the start. The design and engineering phase is where the foundation is set, and I'm glad our team was able to guide you through layout decisions, plans, and improvements in a way that made you feel informed and confident throughout the process.
>
> Your project highlights what design build construction is meant to be. From initial concept and architectural planning through construction and final finishes, everything needs to stay aligned. The craftsmanship you mentioned, including tile work, cabinetry, lighting, and overall finish quality, is a direct result of that coordinated approach.
>
> We also take pride in maintaining a professional jobsite, especially when clients are living in the home during construction. Cleanliness, organization, and respectful crews are not extras, they are part of how a properly managed residential renovation should operate.

> Construction Corps is one of the top design-build contractors in Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area. They handled our project from architectural planning and engineering through permitting and full construction.
> We hired them for a complex structural renovation in involving load-bearing wall modifications and detailed Florida Building Code Compliance. Their tram stayed organized, communicated clearly and delivered exactly what was promised. If you are looking for a new home build, ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit), addition or a structural renovation, Construction Corps is a strong choice. Highly Recommend. We are begging our second project now with them for an ADU, the Permit Ready Plan Set has just started.

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful review. We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with you on such a complex structural renovation. Projects involving load-bearing modifications and Florida Building Code coordination require careful planning, engineering alignment, and clear communication, so it means a lot to hear that the process met your expectations.
>
> Our goal with every project is to keep design, permitting, and construction working together so the outcome is both structurally sound and well executed. We’re looking forward to continuing the work with you on the ADU and getting the permit-ready plans moving forward.
>
> Thanks again for your trust in Construction Corps. We appreciate the partnership and are excited for the next phase of the project.

**★★★★★ — Tim, April 2025**

> We had the pleasure of working with Jonathan at Construction Corps recently. I can’t say enough about how impressed we were with every element of our engagement. Jonathan and his staff took immediate interest in our project by contacting us the day after our inquiry. He scheduled a time to come out and provide a quote within a few days. And within a week, we had his detailed quote that matched our specifications. All of his communication and follow up was thorough, easy to understand and timely. His responsiveness to our questions was refreshing; he always took ample time and interest. At the end of the project, his invoice matched the work completed, including some additional work for which he did not charge us. Integrity in this industry is everything; Jonathan and Construction Corps nail it at every turn. Highly recommended! Tim

> Mark and his team did an amazing job repairing an exterior wall that had a water leak, installing new flooring, and painting. Like many home projects, when the wall was opened up there was more damage than expected but we got it done and I am thrilled with the result. Thank you very much for the great work.

**Comment from Construction Corps:**

> Mark,
>
> Thank you for the review, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
>
> Projects like this are a good example of how hidden damage can develop from water intrusion. What starts as an exterior wall repair often expands once opened up, especially when moisture has affected framing, sheathing, or interior finishes. The key is identifying the full extent of the issue early and addressing it correctly so the problem does not return.
>
> I’m glad our team was able to handle the exterior wall repair, flooring installation, and painting while adapting to the additional scope as it was uncovered. That flexibility and problem solving is a big part of what we focus on with residential repair and remodeling projects.
>
> At Construction Corps, we provide structural repairs, water damage restoration, and full-service remodeling throughout Clearwater and the Tampa Bay area.
