The wood was clearly hand chosen, the joinery flawless, and attention to detail impeccable. Two of the pieces were custom sized but were still reasonably priced when compared to their standard ones. The packaging for shipping was a bit tedious, but only because of how well the pieces were protected. The table is solid walnut with a clear matte lacquer finish. The large low circle, as seen in the image, is 48" diameter and 12" high. The price is US$1375, including shipping (within U.S. and Canada). **Q: Determine size of round table** *(in Design Dilemma)* I want to replace this table with a round one. How do I determine what size round table would best fit this space? The area is open to the kitchen, sunroom, and living room. The ceilings are 10 ft high. I want to be able to seat at least 6 (and maybe 8). Help! A: A 60" round table will normally seat 6 people, and be a tighter squeeze for 8, depending on the chair. This is assuming a pedestal base where nothing is there to get in the way of people's legs. Your sheet on the floor at 60" seems to fit well. **Q: Please help me choose a coffee table!** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have the new couch and 2 new chairs are on order and will be arriving sometime next month. It needs to be rectangular or possibly oval, not huge, not a wood surface (wood legs or shelf would be fine), with a shelf or some storage. I already have a lot of different woods with the floors, walnut chair, and pallisander wood trim on the lounger, plus the dining table. That's why I feel like a wood coffee table is too much wood The couch is a charcoal GUS mid-century style. Not sure why it looks so dark in this pic. I want a coffee table that doesn't take up a huge amount of visual space but still has a bit of storage and is long enough for two people to occasionally eat at when we're too lazy to eat in the dining room. Price range: approx. $1500 The other issue is the living room ceiling light fixture. I want something that doesn't compete with the dining room fixture but still has style and personality. I'm thinking black metal so it works with the mounted black fixture over the couch (the arm swings over the lounge chair as well). It needs to be approx. 2 feet in height so people can walk under it even if the coffee table isn't there (ceilings are nine feet). Price range: approx. $900.
