> This was our first custom home experience and we were living 1200 miles away so choosing the right builder was critical for us.  We interviewed several and JSC stood out.  Jarrod himself attended our first meeting and laid out their process.  It was completely transparent and very methodical.  Jarrod himself is a craftsman and we were also impressed by his discretion.  Any plans or examples he showed us didn’t identify the client or location.  We essentially hired him on the spot.  The design process was a little slower than we had heard from friends who had supposedly been through the same process but it became clear that JSC worked differently.  Jarrod interviewed us for hours focusing on function.  He brought up things we never thought of – where do you like to fold laundry?  - are occupants right or left handed? – how tall? – what are the breed and size of your pets?  We used Houzz to send him ideas.  The final design was just what we needed.

> Since we lived so far way, JSC kept us up to date on construction with pictures and videos.  Our future neighbors were impressed with JSC and the subcontractors in terms of their politeness and cleanliness.  This made it easier for us to meet our new neighbors.  We had heard nightmares from other job sites in the neighborhood.  There are posted rules at the job site including no smoking and no cursing.

Paint and extra trim was neatly organized and labeled in the basement.  The mechanical room was labeled and all our manuals were placed in a binder with a table of contents on the front.  JSC filled out and mailed any needed warranty cards and set up all our utilities.  They made appointments for us to learn the HVAC and any other systems in the house.

Our only major issue was our AV system but JSC completely managed the problem for us.  You don’t need to communicate directly with sub contractors before, during, or after.  Jarrod and his employees take care of coordinating everything. At one point, we had a minor concrete issue and the sub couldn’t get to removing some concrete in time so Jarrod himself came out and did it.

**Q: Measurements of 3 season porch** *(in Photo Questions)*

I was hoping to learn what the actual measurements were of the lovely porch.  I wish your company was located in my city!

What brand is the furniture? Beautiful welcoming space!

A: Hi Bonnie - great question!  Unfortunately, the homeowner provided their own furniture for this project so we don't have access to the brand or dimensions of these items. Sorry about that!

**Q: Would you provide the details on the pantry door?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I have a similar situation in a house I am building.  Since this looks like cabinetry and not a "regular" door what keeps the door in position without door stops? Thanks!

A: If you look at the lower right corner of the pantry door opening, we wrapped the furniture base from the fridge leg around and into the opening for the pantry door.  We then extended the toekick on the bottom of the pantry door so it shuts against the back of the furniture base return.  I believe we also embedded a magnet in the face of the toekick on the bottom of the door and in the back of the furniture base return to prevent the door from easily being pushed open as well.  Sorry for the late response.

What size is this kitchen and the island?

A: Thanks for the inquiry! The overall kitchen area is 23’ 2 ¾” X 15’3”.  The wood table top is 5' X 9'. Thanks!

A: Hello! Thanks for the question.  The walls are painted SW 7024 Functional Grey and the ceiling is a custom match to the Andersen Windows White.  Thanks!

Hi, what are dimensions of top cabinets and what is the length of the top shelving.  Thanks

A: Hello! The upper cabinets are 24" wide x 42" tall.  The shelving in the middle is 36" wide.
