I purchased a fireplace surround when it can one leg was broken. When I contacted to company they refused to do anything saying my only option was to purchase a complete now unit and hope it doesn’t come broken. They refuse to stand by their product at all!! Thanks again! **Q: Suggestion whether to remove dated stone/plaster around front entry** *(in Design Dilemma)* We would like to remove the old plaster/stone surrounding the front doors. Would you replace with the same siding as the upper stack of the house or use something different? A: What a gorgeous house! I'm so happy to hear that you want to keep the mid-century look. So many people are quick to throw away the true history of their home. DMH! That's so nice of you to come up with a sketch! **Q: Fireplace stay or go?** *(in Design Dilemma)* Wood burning fireplace eats in to the family room about 3' x 6' not flush against the wall. I love a fireplace, but love my leather sectional. It does fit but, not too much room around it. A: The fireplace adds to the room. It was dark, outdated, and had a layout that didn't make sense. The kitchen has been transformed into a bright and beautiful space, with a smart and efficient floor plan.
