> Terribly unorganized, overcharged an item but refuses to acknowledge it or pay me back (1 year later!), doesn't respond to emails or questions, you have to reach out to him to set up appointments and hope he responds -- just an unpleasant experience all around.

> We built with them. Their customer service leaves a LOT to be desired. Follow up is basically zero. We have a fan that needs fixing. Had to call the subcontractors ourselves for another issue. Huge crack in cement not addressed. We are supposed to have a year warranty that is up in September. We have to call them all of the time and they don’t return calls. Its too bad because we like the design but it’s really poor communication. The little things add up.

> My spouse and I decided to build a house with Applestone Homes and we had a very positive experience.  My spouse is trained as a mechanical engineer and he had some pretty unique requests regarding the structural aspects of the house.  JJ and Adam were more than willing to work with us.  Throughout the process, JJ and Adam always had our best interest in mind by finding and recommending quality products at the best value.  We were able to be involved with every decision that needed to be made and we were encouraged to visit the construction site as often as we chose to see the progress.  Since my spouse and I have never built a house before, we would always have several questions after visiting the construction site and JJ and Adam were extremely patient in answering our questions and helping us to understand the process.  Being part of every decision can be overwhelming at times, especially when choosing all of the aesthetic components, but JJ has a very artistic eye and he was more than willing to be part of those decision-making appointments and provide his expert input.  Applestone is known for building custom homes with an open design and intimate spaces and they certainly go above and beyond to deliver on this account.  Of course, during the building process there are always various roadblocks along the way, buy we were (and still are) very pleased with the final product.  Both my spouse and I would highly recommend building with Applestone to anyone in the Quad Cities area.
