> The Design Source provided interior design services on two major remodeling projects at our house. Our house was a late 1980s house, that other than paint and some new wall paper had not undergone any major updating or changes since the original construction.

> The first project was a complete remodel of our first floor.  A complete gutting of the floor, removing all flooring, all cabinets, all plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, and moving walls to change the functionality of spaces.  This included removing one of two stairs in the house to accommodate a future elevator (a Design Source suggestion).

**Q: Need help deciding on dinning chairs..** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We have dark brown leather sofas, classic contemporary. Our dining table is an old original handscraped dark wood peice that I made the mistake of pairing with rather ornate Bombay store fabric parsons chairs. Something didn't look right from the beginning, and it took a long time for me to realize I had mixed two styles together and they clash terribly.  I am looking at these very nice wicker parsons chairs, that I think will change this up nicely, but I'm hesitating and need some advice. I'm on a tight budget and these chairs just went on sale so it's a good time to buy them.  So here is a picture of the chair. And the table they show is similar to mine in color.
I need to incorporate some cream pillows or pads or something to lighten all of the brown and wood that I have as well.  I'm really stuck, I have searched for inexpensive chairs for a while now. (Won't be keeping the table forever..)
I need help please, what do you all think of these?

A: Probably for most people wicker chairs are not very comfortable.  If this is a place that you don't sit at very often, I would say "yes buy them."  If it is a place where you sit often and are looking for comfort and design.  I would say "no."
I love the look of them, especially with the band of wood at the top.  These chairs will be a little difficult to attach a cushion to the seat.  You would have to Velcro the cushion to the top of the seat.  There is nothing to use a seat that ties.  
Slipcovers are great on upholstered chairs, because you still have the softness.  Covering wicker, you will still have the hardness.
If you look in the picture at the cream upholstered chairs, that looks great with that table or an upholstered one with wood legs showing that is very simple and it won't over power the table.
