We would highly recommend Josh to anyone looking to build a new home in the Dallas area. His ability to listen and understand what the client want’s is amazing was well as his ability to bring his unique and talented architectural point of view to the project. We don’t think we would have been able to get the project off the ground without him and are so excited to live in the new house once it is completed.

> Joshua Nimmo, architect, had built some townhouses in Dallas that I found interesting - modern, simple, functional.  He uses materials that are inexpensive and readily available, but uses them in a way that looks new and unique.  I went to him to design my studio/residence at my ranch in rural Texas.  He listened to what I thought I wanted, but suggested another way to go after he visited the site.  He drew up both my idea and his and when we met, I found his design and ideas far superior and much more matched to the environment.  He was willing to compromise as well which I found refreshing.  Josh did great plans, offered his services in meeting with the builder as well as finding proper outlets for materials.  Any details that needed clarification during the construction he remained available to help with.  I was extremely happy with his creativity, availability and professionalism.  I am planning to use him again to create a small, modern fishing cabin above our lake at the same property.

A: It's 90 miles from Dallas.  Minimal east/west exposure; exterior sunscreen to control southern exposure; no heat storing attic in primary space; appropriate insulation; high albedo roof and veneer; multiple HVAC zones.
