When we chose to go with them, we didn't know there'd be a pandemic and we'd be pretty much confined to the house where they were working. That said, they were extremely professional and safe. They finished on time and on budget. We received updates at the end of every day about what had just been completed and what we could expect the next day. They were super sweet to and patient with our kids who wanted explanations about what was happening and general conversation as they were trying to complete the job on time and on budget. Not sure anyone would call a kitchen and bathroom remodel a pleasant experience to live through, but they really made the situation far more bearable than we imagined. Oh, they also brought biscuits regularly for our dog who looked forlornly for a couple weeks after they'd finished for where they'd gone. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone else looking for work on their house. For the final phase, Jay and his Five Star team with nearly surgical precision completed the finishing exterior paint. Boone's conscientious management of every step, obstacle, and element of the project was executed with kindness, graciousness, humor, and most of all conducted in the highest of professional standards. His keen eye for perfection caught small anomalies missed by others. I know I have forgotten many of the other team members, but know they are recognized and appreciated, as well. The entire team made the experience, from start to finish, just so easy! I never had to fret about orders or deadlines because I knew the project was in excellent hands. Every single member made me smile or laugh with their easy going spirit. The first time was for a major project including a remodeled kitchen and new bathroom which included new interior and exterior walls. The second time was for a bathroom and basement remodel. They use high quality dependable sub-contractors and have excellent designers, engineers and carpenters on staff. Thank you! A: We had our local metal fabricator make and install the aluminum frame pieces (posts & top rails) and cables so I'm not sure of the cable system/supplier in this instance. If the structural posts and rails are wood we tend to build them ourselves. There are a number of good systems available. Feeney is one we've used that comes to mind. The deck support brackets are also custom fabricated from standard steel sections. Sorry I can't be more specific. **Q: Where is the coffee table from?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hi harmskristi, I'd recommend checking with https://www.houzz.com/pro/lauriedriscollinteriors/laurie-driscoll-interiors.  They provided the interior design on this project and may know the source of this coffee table. The Housewrights **Q: Need help for my entrance! door is off centre, how to we do ceiling?** *(in Design Dilemma)* A: Yeah, AnthonyMegGait's response would disguise the interior/exterior symmetry differences but symmetry isn't always the best answer. Balance is more important and often comes with symmetry but can also be achieved without it. Asymmetry tends to be more dynamic, playful, interesting. **Q: So charming! Can you tell me where the light and painting are from?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Hello Valeria Zaric-Gibson, I believe the light fixture is a Hubbardton Forge item. Can you tell me more about the backsplash? Is it copper? How does it hold up? Thanks! A: Hi ubergirl - thanks for the question. Sorry we've been so long in responding. This backsplash is actually made of a cement board product (Viroc, if I remember correctly) that we cut to size and bolted to the wall with stainless steel sheet showing between panels. The owner of this kitchen is an artist and she colored the basic gray cement board with concrete dyes to give it the variegated green/blue appearance.
