When we decided to pursue a lower house renovation in the Spring of 2025, Alan O'Rourke was the name that was suggested to us, and he is who we will recommend to others. His team completely transformed our living space, and we are beyond thankful for their direction, skill, communication, and clarity from beginning to end of the process. Initially, one of us was keen to work with a general contractor, while I (who doesn't know a thing about renos or construction) had thought that we could save some money and manage it ourselves. With Alan, our construction began July 2 and we were fully completed and moved back into the space by the end of October. We would never have been able to organize all of the different trades required with the efficiency that he did, and we would have been in \*way\* over our heads. The benefit of not having to seek out any trades companies, check references, follow-up with issues, etc., is way more impactful than I had ever imagined. If you are on the fence about working with a general contractor, do it. It will absolutely save your sanity! The end product is our dream space, which we are already enjoying hosting dinners and events in. When little issues came up along the way Alan was always quick to address them. We had confidence in him from beginning to end, and he was aware of our budget and provided suggestions that would work for us. Alan is honest, genuine, and grounded, which makes him really approachable and you know that you can trust his guidance. If we were to jump back in time, we would 100% work with Alan again, and have since recommended him to family friends.
