**Q: Can't find black appliance paint** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'd like to paint my refrigerator black to match my other appliances. Does anyone have experience painting appliances with liquid paint rather than spray paint? How did it turn out? I've only been able to find black in spray paint, not in quarts (while white is available) so product recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

A: I would only use spray, spray cans are difficult to achieve a pro look. I've taken appliances to an auto body shop to be painted in the past. If you use spray paint, rustolium appliance epoxy works well.

**Q: Desperately Need Help w/ Coastal Living Room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

My mom asked for my help with decorating a newly remolded living room. There are big french doors to the right of the photo, that open up to a quite bay in British Columbia with beautiful sunsets. I wanted to have that feel of the ocean even when those french doors are shut so I was going with a casual feel, variety of blue hues, white and pops of colors.

I thought my mom also saw this vision, however she just sent me a picture of this couch she bought, which is much more modern than I was going for...EEK.... It's throwing me off. Do you have any suggestions? Because I sure would like some help on this one. Thanks a bunch!

**Q: Paint wood panelling or not?!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Should I paint this wall?  It is a cathedral wall, covered in real maple wood strips. I prefer a lighter "New England" look. All other walls are painted in yellow/burgundy. I attached the family room photo where the wall goes up to the mezzanine. I was thinking of also bead-boarding the ceiling and not sure what to do with the fake wood beams. Your suggestions would be really appreciated!

**Q: Boring Bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just bought a bungelow in Fl and this is one of the bathrooms.  Just plain.  I plan on tiling the walls with a mother of pearl tile that is very upscale and will look awesome.  Does anyone have any idea how to update a tub surround without taking out the whole thing and replacing it ?

A: What part of Florida are you in? I work mostly in Jax and Gainesville. I recommend having a plumber change out the shower valve, faucet, and toilet handle to start

**Q: Kitchen Counters.  I'm swapping out my counters.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Need help for my kitchen counter choiceI recently moved into a new home and i despise the kitchen counter tops. 

The previous owner installed new white cabinets so i will stick with those because i like them, but im having a insecurities on my granite choice. 

At this point i put a slab of Monte Cristo on hold. Im worried that im getting too white. i had dark granite at my last house and everytime you used the sink you had to wipe the counters. 

I have stainless appliances, but the stove has a black top and the fridge has black sides. anyone see any problems with this, or have any colors suggestions? 

Also, i have white doors, trim and crown moldings. My walls are mostly beige and i have a blue accent wall in the room which i thought the counter since the monte cristo has slight blue hints would mesh well

A: I did a kitchen with white cabinets with a brown glaze. We did travertine counters with stainless appliances. The lighter counters look great but we did add a wood counter on a green island to spice it up a little. Sometimes a dark counter on white cabinets is just too much contrast.
