(Bucks Stove and Spa). Initially the system worked well but after a few weeks the system will not ignite. CPI mode will not stay on. Insert rarely lights for days at a time. Local company where it was purchased will not help and provides no services for repair. This unit is now one year old and has been nothing but disappointing. I will deter anyone from buying this unit **★ — HU-186249299, Jan. 2024** > NEW > Kozy Heat, Oakport 18L. Bought February 2023. Terrible stove. We have had the step motor replaced twice, and the remote thermostat once. Now the flame, using the remote, is so low it takes 3- 4 hours to get our room up to temperature. We set the flame at the highest and it goes right back down to low when we set the thermostat. This is not the pretty flame it shows in the brochures. We have talked to both Kozy Heat and the dealership and no one seems to want understand our problem. The room was measured for this stove. The pictures and brochure for this stove are very deceiving. The flame is not a pretty flame. So sorry we bought this stove, now I feel like we are stuck with it. **★ — HU-791465254, Oct. 2023** > We installed the cozy heat Nordik 34 earlier this year. Hasn’t even been a year and we’ve been having issues with the fireplace staying on. Sometimes it just goes out but usually it will start back up. Today the pilot light went out and I have not been able to get it restarted. Confirmed there’s power and I am absolutely certain it’s not the gas service as the unit itself doesn’t even respond to the remote (backlights won’t turn on). Also cannot re-synch to the remote. We’ll be calling the fireplace company that installed it for further investigation (Bromwells out of Falls Church) but I’m very disappointed in this fireplace, given we’ve not been able to enjoy it for a full season and it seems to be already having issues. I am sorry to say, but if you want a reliable fireplace look elsewhere. **★★★ — HU-225343401, Sept. 2023** > Purchased Kozy Heat Roosevelt 34 in May 2020, 3 years in by May 2023 the ember bed cracked and needed to be replaced. The retailer, Bromwells in Falls Church VA, offered to replace at cost because the manufacturer would not acknowledge a defect and replace. We’ve been told that it is unusual for the base ember bed to crack. It also needed a complete new pilot assembly. Otherwise, we are happy with the unit and functionality. **★ — HU-621031446, March 2022** > We had the new model Roosevelt 29 BW installed in 2018. From the get go, we had problems. There was a burned out wire, so it would not light. Replaced the main board (before we even got it going). The installer didn't put two pipes up our chimney, so ended up coming back to do that. Fan was extremely noisy, so that got replaced. Wouldn't light again after few months, so service called again several times before warranty was up. We were told "just keep the pilot light lit at all times" as our resolution. Two days ago, pilot light went out and won't light. The only shortcoming for us is the difficulty in removing the trim pieces. We recently had an extended power outage. In order to install back-up batteries, the trim pieces needed to be removed.
