> I am so excited about my new raised garden , fire pit and redesign of my front and backyard!! Luke and Melody listening and did exactly what I wanted!! We upgraded to some bigger plants by the drive way and it was so worth the extra money ! This year we are going to have Wildblooms finish the backyard and put in our outdoor kitchen!! Thank you Luke and Melody of Wildblooms for our beautiful and fun outdoor living space ❤️ Kim

> Over the years, we've dealt with many contractors, but Wild Bloom is the first and the only contractor against whom we have filed a complaint with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB).
>
> The main reasons are simple: undercutting us in the number of plants and installing weak polymeric sand between the flagstone joints instead of mortared grout along our walkway.
>
> Addressing the latter issue, after just a light rain, the polymeric sand blistered and loosened between the flagstones. We sent Wild Bloom two videos as proof that the material they used for grouting was completely unacceptable as a permanent mortar filling between the stones (a plastic sharpie easily penetrated this "grout", as well as a screwdriver going all the way through this sand). The contractor-owner, Luke Huskey, conveniently accused us of destroying the polymeric sand and so he voided the "one-year warranty" stated in the contract. Have you ever seen solid mortar that can be destroyed with a touch of a sharpie or with the pick of a screwdriver? We had to hire another contractor to remove the sand and re-fill the entire walkway gaps with real mortared grout, which is as hard as concrete.
>
> We signed the landscaping contract after viewing a printout of our landscaping Plan Design, which clearly illustrated all the specific kinds, numbers and locations of the new plants. The contract stated "Install New Plants Per Plan". However, Wild Bloom installed just 63% of the plants, claiming that the Plan is not the plan! When we confronted Luke, he emailed us the following: "...the Plan demonstrated the conceptual nature of the planting scheme...". Really, the plan is not the plan and everything we see in it is not true? News to us, where is the disclaimer stating that we should not be taking the Plan at face value? Nowhere!!! Also, Luke stated that he made a manual calculation as to how many plants would be needed for our landscape. Somehow, Wild Bloom made the plant count calculation in its favor. In addition to the sub-par quality of the plants (some were almost unrecognizable by comparison to their retail counterparts), when we asked why many plants were so feeble, Melody, Luke's wife and Wild Bloom's VP, replied that they bought these plants at wholesale, thus trying to save us money.
>
> We received an itemized plant list with the cost break down, which Melody typed up, telling us that the plant prices we see are the ones Wild Bloom paid at a wholesale nursery ($10--$15 per one-gallon plants, etc...). It was shocking to us to see not only the retail prices showing for the sub-par plants we received but also the fact that some of the plant costs she listed were between 261% and 325% higher than the retail costs of the same, more beautiful plants we could have bought at Lowe's, Home Depot or even at the more upscale Plant Depot in San Juan Capistrano. Luke and Melody kept telling us "we're honest people"; however, if so, why would not they show us their wholesale invoice?
>
> Later on, after we filed a complaint with CSLB, Luke emailed us a settlement for the missing plants by sending us an offer to pay us $3.00 per each missing one-gallon plant, claiming now that he is passing his wholesale cost to us. So, is that $10-$15 or $3 that is the true wholesale cost?
>
> Transparency has not been this company's strong point. In the process of preparing the documents for the Contractors State License Board, we discovered that Wild Bloom "accidentally overlooked" to credit us $1,900. They could not deny this claim and finally did pay us this amount.
>
> We recently discovered another issue demonstrating Wild Blooms' incompetence, in the installation of Decomposed Granite (DG) in one area of our yard previously covered by grass. Large weeds are growing through this DG installation, which could have been easily avoided by simply covering the ground with an inexpensive weed blocker prior to packing on the DG. Now we will hold Wild Bloom responsible for hundreds of dollars the company charged us for the DG installation, so we can have this work re-done.
>
> We didn't take this review lightly; everything said here are facts, which we have well-documented and retained for arbitration. Just wanted to warn the public not to be taken in by Luke's soft-spoken demeanor.

**★★★★★ — Tom Lawrie, May 2017**

> We spent many years watching our landscaping deteriorate, basically because of the drought and stopping the watering of it. Also we clearly had the wrong plants and ground cover for our environment, including a large swath of very thirsty grass. We had received a couple of bids over a couple of years, but found the cost and proposed designs prohibitive in cost and unimaginative in design. In late 2016, we had the good fortune of finding Greener Environments. Luke and Melody came to our home. We had a great conversation about what we were looking for, they shared their views, and we agreed to have them submit a design and an estimate.
>
> The initial estimate came in higher than we wanted to spend. But, we were willing and able to do some of the work ourselves. So, working with Luke and Melody, we agreed on the segments of work we would do (a lot of manual labor!) and what they would do (all the stuff that took expertise and experience!), and we agreed on a price that worked for everybody.
>
> Luke and Melody were great to work with, very flexible, extremely transparent in their estimates, and have continued to stand behind their work. Their employees were diligent, thorough, and left our property in organized and good shape at the end of each day.
>
> Now, besides having a beautiful landscape, our home was also recognized April, 2017 by Atascadero Mutual Water Company with a 1st place in the category Professional Turf Conversion.
>
> We highly recommend Greener Environments to anyone looking to have a beautiful, well-designed, environmentally sensitive, water efficient and natural landscape.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Tom! We had a fantastic time working with you both on this. I'm glad we were all able to share in the excitement of the 1st place landscape award!

**★★★★★ — Gwen, Feb. 2017**

> We highly recommend Greener Environments for your landscaping project! As many central Californians know, Los Osos has (& is) going through a septic to sewer transition and many of us are now ready for new landscapes. We met owners Luke and Melody at a home show & were impressed not only by the designs we saw pictured but the entire philosophy of the company. The company is very focused on using native plants & keeping water requirements consistent with our natural supply while using drip irrigation to enhance plant establishment & lushness. They created a beautiful backyard for us that included our wishes and also filled in all the gaps where we had no idea what to do. The entire staff was so helpful, friendly, & knowledgeable. They quickly responded to all our questions and were flexible with any changes we requested. After completion of the project, they continue to follow through, making sure you & the plants are doing well. We have really never seen such a dedicated design & installation team focused on extreme customer satisfaction.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Gwen! You and Judy were both so much fun to work with. We appreciate the great feedback and are happy to know you are enjoying your new landscaping.

**★★★★★ — Lauren M., Nov. 2016**

> I had an amazing experience working with Luke and Melody. I was working alongside the Boys & Girls Club of South San Luis Obispo to complete my Girl Scout Gold Award project, which was a drought tolerant landscape around the Oceano clubhouse. Luke and Melody were wonderful mentors, answering any questions I had , helping me to estimate costs, selecting plants that fit my needs and creating a beautiful mock up of the landscape, all while volunteering their time. The final product that I installed at the Boys & Girls Club will grow to be a beautiful landscape and a focal point in the neighborhood. I would suggest this company to anyone looking for a sustainable, well-designed landscape.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Lauren! It was our pleasure to help you with your project. You did an excellent job with the installation and we are proud to have been a part of making your vision for the space a reality. If you need anything or have questions in the future, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

**★★★★★ — Cindy Farris, Nov. 2016**

> Great company to works with!!! Very professional and knowledgeable. They gave us exactly what we wanted in a very timely manner. Would definitely use them again.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Cindy! We all had a lot of fun working on your project. If you ever have any questions or issues with your landscaping, don't hesitate to call us.

**★★★★★ — Carol Greenelsh, Oct. 2016**

> I was so pleased with the quality of work, the schedule that was given and the complete courtesy of the crew and owners during the project and the property left broom clean at the end of each day. Everything was done according to the design and turned out fantastic! Luke and Melody are owners that follow through from preparation of planning and completing in a timely fashion.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Carol, we appreciate your feedback and your kind words! It was great working with you!

**★★★★★ — melodianne, Sept. 2016**

> Luke and Melody were a joy to work with. They respected our budget and came in with a beautiful design which was executed perfectly. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile is very much appreciated. They gave us a schedule of the work to be completed and they kept to that schedule. I would highly recommend them.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you for the wonderful feedback Melodianne! It was a pleasure to work with you!

**★★★★★ — kkimcox, Sept. 2016**

> A neighbor recommended Greener Environments to me because I had a front yard lawn that needed to come out. Luke and Melody were easy and fun to work with from beginning to end. Communication was excellent and the whole project was conducted in an organized and professional manner, which was a relief compared to some other home improvement project experiences I've had. The new landscaping was artfully designed by Melody and includes native plants, a rainwater basin, and a flagstone patio. The installation crew was pleasant and respectful and the project was completed on time. I'm a fairly picky person when it comes to my home, but Greener Environments exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needs landscaping done.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Kim!! It was so much fun to work with you. We really appreciate the great feedback!

**★★★★★ — Karin Cake, Aug. 2016**

> We were so happy with the results of the work on our small yard in front of a
> large, very white commercial building. Luke and Melody were very helpful in
> seeing the possibilities of softening and integrating the building into the
> neighborhood. The native plants used were related in color, texture and type
> to the old oaks nearby and the whole project is the delight of our customers,
> the neighborhood and us. The job took only one day and the plants are doing
> very well even during hot weather. We look forward to the mature yard and
> are so grateful for the green in our lives.

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Hi Karin, Thank you so much for the excellent feedback. It was a complete delight to work with you!

**★★★★★ — Phil W, Aug. 2016**

> Our project, in the City of San Luis Obispo, involved removing approximately 920 sq yds of turf, plus rehabilitating an additional area of plantings that were messy and overgrown. We were interested in water efficiency, while at the same time having an attractive front garden with curb appeal. The project involved removing the turf, grading the entire area to add interest and retain rain water, converting to drip irrigation, adding composting, a weed barrier and mulch, and finally planting entire area with water efficient plants appropriate for our environment.
> After extensive research and obtaining quotes, we selected Greener Environments for our project, and we are happy we did! From start to finish Luke, Melody, and their team were helpful, thorough and professional. Melody listened to what we had in mind and then developed those ideas into a comprehensive design for our garden, adding suggestions to enhance the overall project. Luke and his teamed completed the entire project in about 8 days.
> We are very happy with our new garden. Throughout the project it was a pleasure to work with the Greener Landscapes team, and we are happy to recommend them without reservation. We would not hesitate to call on Greener Environments for our future landscaping needs!

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Thank you Phil! It was wonderful to work with you on this project. Let us know if you have any questions or need anything else. Looking forward to seeing the landscape as it matures!

> What a nightmare!
>
> Don't get fooled by their fake book, smile and talk. Nice people but... they don't listen to their client, try to constantly cut corners and overcharge. I found them to be a very unprofessional husband and wife team that don't communicate very well with each other, their staff had only done landscaping for less than a few weeks (did security systems prior) who was essentially left in charge... They simply don't have the experience to be in this business.
>
> Most of my plants died, irrigation system was not setup right, they forgot to turn the water on, and the project was a mess. I had to bring in a gardner, electrician where they cut a wire in the ground and wouldn't take responsibility, and simply put it was a disaster.
>
> I also checked with a few of their references later and they expressed the same. Do yourself a favor and find another local gardening solution because they are a lot of talk, not a lot of experience.
>
> Finally, these pirates double charged me and I have to go through a credit card dispute process. Shame!

**Comment from Wild Bloom:**

> Alexander,
>
> I am very sorry that our team was unable to meet the expanding scope of your project within your restricted budget. While we did our best to exceed your expectations with those constraints, we seem to have failed.
>
> I would like to clarify that our team members have many years of years of experience in this field and new, inexperienced employees are very well trained. Furthermore, my wife and I have many years of experience being married to each other, a feat that can only be attained by having top flight communication skills :)

> This client changed parameters partway through the job and didn't want to pay for the extra work. We tried to work with him, gave him several thousand dollars in free work in addition to what we'd agreed on, and he still owes us money.
