Buffalo Mountain Metals is an expansion of Turner Morris, Inc. with extensive knowledge in sheet metal fabrication and welding services.  Serving Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, Vail, Avon, Winter Park & beyond since 2006!

Kris Carlsted grew up in a home where he mastered many trades with helpful guidance from his father.  He discovered a love of working with metal during that time and sought more formal training in his 20s.  He continued learning and has spent the last 10 years mastering the art of decorative welding working with another well respected steel company in Summit County.  Kris joined Buffalo Mountain Metals in late 2016 tasked to help grow Buffalo Mountain Metal’s services so that we can operate as a full service metal shop.

**Q: If I want to replicate the look of this chimney what do I ask for?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Love the look of the rock and metal combination on this chimney - unfortunately, I'm not near you. What should I tell my builder we want to get this look?

A: The rusted metal on the chimney is 22g A606 steel, also known as Corten steel. It is an alloy that is designed to oxidize as it's finish. Initially it will be a light grey raw steel color, but will quickly oxidize once left to the elements.

Hello do you have more info on the paint color and siding used

A: We did the metal siding which is the bottom section and then the middle section that is popped out with the 3 windows. The siding material used there was galvanized corrugated metal that we let rust to the desired effect that the homeowner was looking for.   I can't speak for the wood siding because we did not install that.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
