> All but one are 1/4 to small so the revel is not the same all around all the seams where poorly put together and then ground on site removing the honed finish so now we have shiny spots and uneven seams the sinks are not centered or caulk so they leak of water splashes one of the base cabinets was damaged due to the fact that the installer did not have the proper tools.

**Q: Ugly house makeover** *(in Paint)*

Recently bought this great house but the outside colors are bringing down its curb appeal. Any suggestions to keep us on budget but give  a facelift?

This is my mom’s old lake house that my husband and I bought from my siblings after my mom passed.  We are all excited to keep it in the family as my mom wanted it.  The thing is I’m trying to make it... livable for at least weekend visits at this point.  I’m completing the half bath, but I can’t figure out what color for the walls.  Also,  I’m putting in a new white toilet but keeping the blue sink.  I just love that color.  Help me...  please.  The orange wallpaper is before.  The wool-look wall is the start of the reno.

**Q: Backsplash help** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello everyone,

Would you have a word of advice on what backsplash to add? We do not plan to add anything else on that wall. Unsure if to go for a ceiling high or half wall option, and what color and material to choose. 

Hoping to achieve a very simple but modern look. If budget allows (and if we can find the right paint), maybe part of the wall would be transformed into whiteboard.

A: What is the name of countertop you are getting?

**Q: Quartz counter tops - help, can't decide.....** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I'm at the point where I need to put my counter tops in and I know we want to go with quartz, a marble like look but not sure which one.  I've had a lot of issues with my kitchen and I'm so spent dealing with all of it I would love some help in choosing the right counter tops.

We like:
Calacatta Laza - feel might be too hard of a look and modern.  



Calacatta Classique - softer but not sure its exactly the look we want, maybe needs to be more warm



Blanca Arabescato - I have white cabinets (gray island) and the background on this is a cream color
plus the pattern might be too repetitive.



Sorry couldn't make the pic's smaller.  Here is a pic of my cabinets and my island is a light gray.



We like the modern farmhouse look, the kitchen to feel warm.  We would love marble but its just not durable or feasible for us.  Any comments, advice and suggestion you might have would be welcoming.  Thanks.

A: @Domonique, Please look at attached pictures of the job we did not long ago. In this case we used calacatta tiles for the full height backsplash.

**Q: Help mixing wood finishes with this awesome headboard** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I fell in love with this awesome headboard I found online(see photos), but I am having a hard time figuring out what other wood tones would mix well with it. Originally I was going for a sort of modern farmhouse (slightly eclectic) feel with light grey washed or whitewashed woods, but now I’m not sure how it would come together. I have been searching for a dresser and night stands that would work with the headboard, but I’m sort of scattered. My apt has a lot of blues with some gold accents and the bedroom is standard apartment-y light beige walls with light carpet. Would love any advice on how to mix different wood finishes with this color!

A: I would go for a whitewashed wood, this way you have more room to play with the decoration.
