KNR Design Studio will work with you through all stages of the project, from initial research and feasibility studies, through design, construction documentation, permitting and construction administration. > We loved working with Kendra. When we came to Kendra, we weren't sure what kind of a remodel we wanted. Right off the bat, she was so efficient with her time, and transparent about the process. We were able to choose what level of fidelity we wanted, and iterate on ideas quickly. She has a great balance of experience and knowledge without being pushy. She truly listened to what we wanted and our lifestyle, and designed a home around that. She was able to design a home that was literally beyond our dreams, beyond what we even thought was possible. She is also very open about costs, so when we would have an idea for something, we immediately would know what kind of budget that would require. This was so helpful in our decision-making process, and set us up to build the right kind of house for our budget. She has great connections to the local community around Los Altos, and helped us push things through quickly.

We identified the optimal orientation for the house on the property and designed the roof to accommodate a large solar cell array. Using the staircase as passive thermal chimney, we draw air from the lower levels and vent it out through a skylight on the second floor.
