The kitchen has 8 ft ceilings. this is a split level so there are 2 steps that go down into the family room. The island is also going to be doubled in size, going from a 24x36- to 36x48. Per usual- excuse the mess...I promise this house is clean sometimes. DESIGNERS I NEED YOUR HELP** *(in Home Decorating)* Guys I really need your input, I'm STUCk! My living room is so bland....I need pillows, wall decor, etc. I would like to add colors but I'm worried it might collide with the rug. Please help me design this small space. A: Bring in throws, pillows and artwork. The rug is a nice decorative element that you can use as an inspiration. Pull out colors from the rug to select your artwork - something modern to match the style of your furniture and the coffee table. **Q: Need HELP selecting color for leather ottoman. THANK YOU!!** *(in Furniture)* Hello! We are planning to order a large leather ottoman for our living room. We are leaning towards the darker shade of brown (Sage), but also like the lighter Mushroom. The Sage pulls in the darker grains in the floors, but my concern is if it'll weigh the room down (currently there is a lot of grey and white, as well as dark grains of wood in the floors and speakers are cherry) would make it feel heavy and dark, versus adding warmth. Or it could be beautiful and just add another layer of richness and warmth to the room. The Mushroom pulls in some of the gold from the large wall mirror-but is it too light? We like both but would love additional thoughts. Thank you! HELP!** *(in Home Decorating)* I’m a college student who will be moving into my first apartment in May! The apartment comes fully furnished and everything will be brand new (the complex is still under construction, so it will be opening for the first time). I am so excited, but I’m finding it hard to get things for my bedroom. I love the colors blush and teal/ seafoam with a gold accent, but I cant find bedding that I like that incorporates both colors. I have thought about going with a solid comforter and bringing out the other color with pillows, but I am worried that it may come out tacky! I am open to any suggestions - even if it involves a color change! Here are a few things that I have looked at online. A: Photo 3 looks really nice. Where can we order such door? We do not have enough space to install French doors due to where the windows are located and I'm not a fan of slider, but something like this would get maximum light into the room. JELD-WEN is a brand that I've heard of but never used. **Q: Grout color** *(in Design Dilemma)* Can’t decide grout color for Shaw Smoked Hickory in Pecan. This is earth and saddle brown. Any advice or other ideas?
