We have done remodels exceeding $50,000 in 2 other houses and this one exceeded $200,000. After being 2 months behind schedule, Bella 'left' our house with several issues for which we eventually had to hire a separate contractor. > \- After moving 2 units of our split duct AC system, they started leaking and were never fixed. > \- The one new unit that they installed took them an entire summer (leaving us with a 90 deg kitchen!) to get operable. > \- They undersized our kitchen heating system by a factor of 3, leaving us with an entire winter of coming into a 55 deg kitchen! > \- Their painters did not use primer on our back porch and it was peeling within the same year. > \- Our master bath sink was not supported and sunk through the countertop. > \- The demo work of the kitchen left hundreds of nails in our yard that we are still picking up and hoping our daughter will not step on. > It has been a couple of years and there are too many other errors to recall or maybe even list here. The obvious construction flaws are embarrassing. > I realize that this is most likely due to the skill level of subs but the owner was completely unresponsive. Given that we (the owners) did most of the project management through Co-construct, it leaves me to wonder what the owner was doing.
