### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Ann Bauer, Sept. 2018**

> After some extensive research, we decided on Strite for the major remodel of our newly purchased fixer-upper. We could not have been happier. Strite delivered exactly what they promised in the most professional and timely manner. From the initial design (thank you, Michael and Sara), to the construction, to the finishing touches, we were continually impressed by the efficiency and knowledge of everyone involved. As with nearly every remodel, we encountered some unexpected issues, but the team of Strite was able to quickly and efficiently deal with and resolve them.
> Having worked in Historic building preservation in Germany, my standards were pretty high. Strite met and exceeded my expectations.
> Thank you, Bob, Carl Jon, Jaman, Matt, and everyone else involved!

**★★★★ — Rochelle Parks, March 2018**

> We had a major remodel of our downstairs and a few small things upstairs. My reason for not giving a five star review is mostly due to a leak in my kitchen. The leak was our responsibility since we purchased the Reverse Osmosis system, and Strite only installed it. It leaked. They came out quickly but was unable to fix it. We purchased a new one and they reinstalled. All said and done it damaged the bottom corner of my brand new cabinet. I understood it would be my responsibility to pay to fix it and I communicated it really bothered me and I wanted it fixed. I waited, and waited. Never fixed. When I asked I was told to go directly to the cabinet maker to get it fixed since it wasn’t their responsibility. That fried me and really put a damper on my experience. They did damage my brand new stair case on every stair. Our flooring guy replaced two stairs but to save Strite money, I had them just cosmetically fix the dents and scratches on all the other stairs. I had hoped the same courtesy would have been given to me with the cabinet.
>
> Second reason for the four stars is they just left and didn’t have a final walk thru with me, never explained or gave me warranty information. No goodbye, nothing personable. I just spent 4 months with these people. My husband emailed the project manager and he said “we’re 100% done”, that he come to do the inspections and walk thru. The inspector came, no project manager, never got my walk thru, never got my warranty info..oh, and my cabinet isn’t fixed. But I did get the final bill in the mail. BTW I contacted the cabinet maker who is wonderful, but never heard back. Communication and customer service is important to me and I feel Strite needs to improved on that.
>
> As far as the workmanship, all the contractors were fantastic. I can not fault any. Michael Snow and Sara were really good with communication and listening/understanding my wants. Kaden and Austin were a joy to have around as was Ted, all the Troys, Cameron, Don, Thomas, Jake and everyone else.
>
> I love my remodel but I’m still stinging from that under cabinet damage and how that was handled. My project ended on a sour note.

**★★★★★ — akalbers36, July 2016**

> In 2015 my husband and I hired Strite to remodel our kitchen. Michael came up with great design ideas to make our small kitchen more functional. The crew that worked on our kitchen was amazing. We had a firm budget and Strite worked with us to give us an amazing kitchen with more space at the price we could afford. The outside vendors used were professional and did excellent work. I highly recommend them, they have competitive pricing, great ideas, and great customer service! Thanks Strite!

> It is difficult to be respectful and provide a complete description in this space. A horrible experience on a small project. Their budget bloated. Gross profit \#1, customer service down the scale. Sloppy work, sloppy office. Lack of on-site quality control. My home left a mess. Even repairs need repairing. Shocking. Tho we ultimately settled dollar wise , the project was not worth it. I had reported all of this to them and have documentation backup. Over $4000 of damages remain to be cleaned up, fixed.

**Comment from Strite Design + Remodel:**

> For STRITE, our dedication to our clients’ satisfaction is such that any review that is less than 5-stars is cause for serious self-examination. Regardless of how satisfying the remodel experience may be for a client, we always make sure that we meet our contractual obligations. This is a given. Our objective with any project is to deliver a superlative experience in the process. This, and not just delivering on time and on budget, is what we think of as “The STRITE Experience.” We deeply regret that we failed to meet that standard in the case of this client. You’ll find a deeper reflection on this in a recent blog entitled, “The 3 Percent”. http://www.stritedr.com/archives/9793

> Strite Design + Remodel is currently working on an extensive redesign and remodel project on our home in the foothills. They have done an excellent job on the design and have worked through existing structure modifications and engineering for them as well as execution of the addition of a concrete deck and bedroom modification while we are still able to stay in the home. They are professional and very competent. We are looking to keep our architectural and sight lines harmonized, take advantage of some great views of downtown and the mountains, while making our home more contemporary inside. The Strite team is helping us realize our vision and guiding us along the way.

**★★★★★ — bonbon7, Aug. 2015**

> Strite's people are thoughtful, professional, and just plain good. We hired them to add on 570 sq. ft. above our garage - a bonus room, with a bathroom and a walk-in closet - and it is perfect. Blends seamlessly with the rest of our house and looks as though it has always been there; inside and out. They are craftsmen who take pride in their work and their clients' satisfaction.

**★★★★★ — diamorrison, Jan. 2014**

> We needed to remodel 2 bathrooms in our home. The master-bath included removal of a bathtub, enlarging the shower and tiling, new flooring, toilet and new granite counter tops, glass shower enclosure. The hall bath included replacing tub, toilet and tiling above tub, new tile flooring and counter top. They did a great job and kept us in the loop all the time. The sub-contractors they used were great as well. Very trustworthy. Excellent at keeping the dust controlled

**★★★★★ — clw83709, Sept. 2013**

> Strite design + remodel did a wonderful job remodeling our galley kitchen and opening it up to our dining room and living room. The house is now so open and airy, it is a joy to have company over as I am not hidden away in the kitchen. They did such a good job of keeping the work area sealed off from the rest of the house during construction. All the different guys that came to our house were really professional and did a great job. There were a couple of glitches, but they were promptly fixed. Kudos to Ed Lee, he was just awesome to work with, as were Neil, Michael and Bob. They also ended up redoing our shower, and Smokey and Scott did a great job on the tile there and the backsplash in the kitchen is the envy of all my friends. The description of work they went over with us before work started was such a great thing, too. Everything was completed in the time frame we were quoted. I would sure use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

**★★★★★ — Diana Day, July 2013**

> We had Strite add on and addition to our home. We added on 500 square feet. A family room off of our kitchen, half bath and a storage room.
> They did a beautiful job.
> When we told them what we had in mind they literally drew it down on a piece of paper and said "is this what you had in mind"/
> They were dead on.
> We couldn't be happier with our space and we would use them again.

**Comment from Strite Design + Remodel:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words, Diana. We truly appreciate having you as a client.

**★★★★★ — jimmariman, July 2013**

> Great work! On time and as agreed. Replaced failing siding and assisted with downspout rework. I would hire them again.

**★★★★★ — boisekoko, July 2013**

> they are the best remodeler ever! we have used them twice and want to use them again in the next 18 months

**★★★★★ — Wood Windows, Inc., July 2013**

> Great design company, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Highly recommended. Quality of workmanship is outstanding. Michael Snow and his group are dedicated to quality and customer service.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)*

Can I use your image on my blog page? Thanks

A: Sure! Please credit the photo with "Strite design + remodel, Boise, Idaho". Thanks!

**Q: stain color** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the name of the stain or gel color used on the floors?

A: Hi! These floors are unique as this color is the actual color of the wood, which is oak. The product was called 'roasted oak', or 'smoked oak'. Actually a clear finish on them. Good luck with your project!

**Q: Backsplash Question** *(in Photo Questions)*

What was used for the backsplash - color, mfg, pattern? Thank you

A: Hi! Looks like we did a Natural stone marble, 12" x 24" woodgrain, color: silver (from Contempo tile in Boise, Idaho). This was then cut crossgrain down to a 3" x 12" and set on a herringbone pattern. Grout used was Tec Silverado. Good luck with your project!

**Q: what is the color of the fireplace?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Santa Barbara smooth finish?

A: I'll do a little research and get back to you.

**Q: Floors! What is the flooring?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What color is the floor and is it engineered wood? Who makes it. It looks beautiful in this kitchen

A: Hi. These floors are called 'roasted oak' or 'smoked oak'. These are not engineered floors, it is natural wood with the coloring all the way through. Here is a picture during installation. It is the only time we installed this floor. Good luck with your project!

**Q: What type of cabinets are these?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Whitewashed knotty alder recessed beadboard.
