In fact, Bruce built my home in Half Moon Bay in 1993. His team has since done two major remodels for me. In all of these situations, I found them to be very easy to work with as well as highly professional. I was always kept abreast of where we were in the project and always felt like they had my best interest at heart. I would recommend Bruce and his team to anyone. **★★★★★ — User, July 2016** > We worked with TurnerBuilt mainly for a complete kitchen and powder bathroom renovation (with a few additional items added on during the project). Bruce and his team did an amazing job from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the results. Bruce came up with a great design and layout that overcame the issues that we had with the previous space including improving the work flow (relocated the appliances), changing a peninsula to an island, creating more countertop area, and creating more light (replaced window and added skylight). Together with a designer, they created a cohesive look and style that matched the rest of the house. They provided very realistic estimates and included different options/choices when they existed. Bruce and our head carpenter, Chad, were always available to provide suggestions and opinions if we needed help making small and large decisions. The timeline was well choreographed and the project was completed on time. Communication was straightforward, easy, and responsive. Lastly, everyone on the team was very respectful and treated our home as if it was their own. I have been planning my dream kitchen for years and when the time came to finally start my kitchen remodel, I had no clue were to begin. I knew I needed someone who could take charge and create the kitchen I had been planning. We had interviewed two other contractors and then my husband and I met Bruce. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and informative and understood what we wanted. Bruce explained the process and we knew right away we were going to hire "TurnerBuilt". Bruce is calm and very patient. After he had the plans drawn up, he helped us with the changes until we got it just right. Bruce worked with us to stay within our budget, although there were a few things I just had to have. Along the way I came up with more ideas and pictures, and Bruce and Chad, our personal go-to guy, were very accommodating. They looked at my ideas and made them real; actually, the results were better than I imagined they would be. > > If you have a dream kitchen or any remodel in mind and you want it done right, Bruce and his team can make it come true. They are all friendly and trustworthy and clean up every day. I love how friendly and responsible Chad (our go-to guy; yes, you get one) was with our dog, Calvert. He made sure that the gates were always closed and the sliding door was open so that Calvert could come in and out while he was working. If you have questions, they have the answers. My advice to anyone working with this wonderful company (or any company) is to let them do their work and if you want to talk about anything, do it before or after they start the job. In the future if we need any work done, I know who to call, "Bruce". The process was seamless and the results are just amazing. Bruce has been in the business for over 30 years, is an amazing communicator and follows through exceptionally. He is patient, kind, funny and just an overall great person to work with. He has the ability to make a stressful project, not stressful! We had his right hand man, Steve, leading the crew on both of our projects and I just cannot think of a more thoughtful, organized and detail-oriented person for the job. They treated our home like it was their own and made such a large, potentially insanely messy job so live-able with two young children. I was grateful for how neat and tidy they kept their workspaces and our home. Steve did plumbing work, electrical work, added a large skylight and large window, coordinated the countertop, flooring and cabinet subs and did all the finish work from the very simple task of painting, installing plumbing fixtures, updating our old intercom system, etc. to the extremely difficult- installing a custom, super fragile glass tile backsplash. He is just awesome in his craft, is super hard-working, pleasant and honest. TurnerBuilt is very skilled at their task and can literally do everything involved in a home remodel/build. Besides these remodels, they have also helped us with some other projects too: rebuilding a deck, a bathroom project and helped us locate and fix a water leak at our front entry porch (not easy to find the source of a water leak but Steve did it!). I had never thought of or considered some of the options he showed us (like an island in the kitchen!) Name, brand, color, etcetera? A: Antique finish in Jerusalem Gold 4x4. A: On this kitchen, we used a Quartzite called "Fusion". It was purchased from Integraged Resouces in Brisbane, CA **Q: Fireplace help** *(in Design Dilemma)* Want to redesign fireplace any suggestions? A: If you wanted to go with a contempory look, you might consider doing a stucco finish over the vertical surfaces, using a hard trowel and intregal color. Then perhaps find a complementary piece of slab stone that would coordinate with whatever color your after.
