> After demo, nobody showed up to do any work for 2 weeks. Only after expressing concern multiple times, workers started trickling in, less than 30 hours of man hours (including the first day of demo with 2 guys @8 hours) spent in the first month. Then came the failed electrical and structural inspections. Electrician claims "the old inspector would have let us do it that way". Would they have wired their own house in this manor? Doubtful. New leaf was apparently clueless of the structural code, in an attempt to avoid additional change orders and fees, I made all the repairs myself immediately over the weekend (including removal of an illegal and extremely unsafe fireplace, which should have been caught by a knowledgeable contractor) before they could even get me a quote to do the work. I was thanked by the project manager for "staying on top of things". However, when I asked management why the project was taking so long, Don said it was because I "got involved". If I hadn't, who knows how much longer this project would have taken. The finished product is presentable, but the process was a nightmare.

> We hired New Leaf Remodeling to remodel our master bathroom. We were new to the remodeling process and from the very start they took the time to explain the process and exactly what steps they were going to be taking. They were in constant contact with us from the very first appointment to after the project was over. Every contractor that came into our house was knowledgeable and courteous. If we had a question they would answer it right away and if didn't have the answer would get it to us that day. As far as the quality of work they do it is outstanding. They got to know what we liked and helped pick out what would work and look good. We would recommend New Leaf Remodeling to anyone.

**Comment from New Leaf Remodeling:**

> Thank you, Sherri! It was our honor and pleasure to work with you.

> We decided to have our bathroom and kitchen totally remodeled and chose New Leaf after visiting a few other places. We liked the warmness of the experience working with John. The process was not without kinks but the final completions were even nicer than we could have imagined. We love both the kitchen and bathroom. They will work with you even after the projects are completed to make sure every detail is taken care of to your liking. I would hire New Leaf again and would recommend them.

> New Leaf was professional at all times during our bathroom remodel project. The work was scheduled and completed in a very logical manner. The quality of the work is amazing. Kudos to Mike B and his entire crew!

> We were pleased with the New Leaf Remodeling experience. Like everyone else we wanted a quality, value and timeliness when we wanted a sun room added on to our house. The project needed some mid course corrections, but we were not charged for the changes. The subcontractors were knowledgeable, courteous and on time. New Leaf was always available for conferring on issues. Only two minor issues have occurred since completion and New Leaf has taken care of our concerns in a timely and cordial manner. We would not hesitate to recommend New Leaf to others needing a remodeling contractor. In fact, we have.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Florida kitchen** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the name and make of countertop material?

A: Thank you for asking- it is Wilsonart Quartz- Color Santiago.

**Q: Need some help making my living-dining more inviting.** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi,
I feel like my room has too much brown (sofas and wood floor) but I am not sure how to add more color to make inviting.
I would like to buy a new dining table and chairs. Also, I can paint some items with chalk paint (same way I did with the gray piece of furniture behind the dining table).
Thank you.

A: You need some fabric items-rugs, curtains, pillows. That will break up those hard lines and tone down the wood. top it off with some shine-crystal, mercury glass, shiny lamp bases-will help create depth and give "pop" to the room.

**Q: Which window trim color do you prefer? Natural brown or white - A or B** *(in Polls)*

A: I prefer B-it shows originality and personality.
