> Seifert managed the updating of our small 1988 kitchen and we’re so pleased with the entire process and end result.  First, I was so impressed with how they handled the initial quote: at the very first visit to our home to discuss what we’re looking for they took measurements and discussed various options to understand what we wanted.  Then within a couple days they put that information together into a quote with a high level kitchen renovation drawing which was included in their a free estimate.  Their quote was very reasonable compared to other businesses and seeing the rendition in paper helped us to visualize what our kitchen would look like for the quote they provided.  In the end, the final cost was very close to the original quote, even with making some changes from original decisions.  Throughout the design process of making decisions and asking many questions of Seifert, Cris was extremely responsive and I enjoyed working with her very much.  Everything she and Fred said was accurate and honest and they worked with me in the details so that I could make sure the options I was selecting would definitely work for me.  When we changed our minds on a couple design items Cris and Fred happily and easily revised the drawings and quote more than once until we finalized everything.  Their business partner GS Flook handled the installation of the cabinets, ceramic tile backsplash, plumbing and painting and did a great job.  The Seifert Kitchen & Bath and GS Flook staff worked seamlessly together as if they are all part of the same company. **Q: Flooring question for bathroom/laundry** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are redoing this horrible space. The adjoining space has neutral 18' oatmeal mottled tile. Ido not want to use this tile in the laundry/bathroom. 
Should the laundry/bathroom have the same flooring as each other, or can the laundry match the existing tile from the adjoining space and the bathroom be something else?

A: Either is fine.  If you want the Bathroom and Laundry to feel like they are one then do the same flooring in each.  If you want the Bathroom to feel more stand alone, you should do different flooring in the Bathroom and continue the existing flooring into the Laundry.  Hope this helps!

**Q: PLEASE help deciding between London Grey vs Georgian bluffs caesarston** *(in Polls)*

I have to make a decision soon regarding my countertop.  I narrowed it down between Caesarstone London Grey (reads more as warm light beige w/ more circular veins and patters) vs Georgian Blufs (new color with longer grey veins and gray background).

A: The London Grey seems to be a better fit...it compliments all of the other materials in your Kitchen and the veining/pattern give it the look of marble which never seems to go out of style.  Hope this helps and good luck!

**Q: Boring to Adoring (Brick, Brass, Wood and more!)** *(in Before & After)*

A: Absolutely Beautiful remodel!

**Q: trim color for sandy hook gray** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Painted the exterior of our home sandy hook grey and chose a creamy white trim which I now hate!  I was trying to get a rich color to go with the grey type of the sandy hook but looks bad against our new white windows.  Will repaint our selves but wondering if you could suggest a good white that will look good with the SHG and against the white PGT casement windows.  Also, because the SHG is such a neutral color, any suggestions on a really fun shutter color that will liven up the house.  I could do the highly suggested black/deep gray shutters but to me, that is so expected.  I want something more fun.  Had thought about a blue/green type of coastal color ... but am open to anything.  Suggestions?  Our front door is a walnut color wood door and I think I will keep the wood color.

**Q: What color to paint trim?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Can you help me choose the color to paint the trim on our shed? I'd probably keep the color of the shed as is but open to options. Here's a view of the back of the house. Does it need to match?

A: If you wanted to give it a little more pop you could pull a "brick red" color from the bricks on your house... similar to below (pictures are a little dark so it is a little harder to see the tones).

**Q: Tile all around the window or not? Need Advice Please!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Need some design advice - would love your opinion (professional or not) . . . Should I tile all the way around the window, stop at bottom of cabinets, tile halfway up the window?  Cabinets are light gray, almost white, tile is beige, gray, white and charcoal, with crown from the top to ceiling.  I can paint a darker greige (a contrasting color within the tile) up and around the window, or should I tile all the way around.  Leathered marble countertops, dark hardwood floors and grey stained rustic island.  This is a very small "L" shaped kitchen and I intentionally left lots of open space around the window to give an open airy appearance.  Please help!

A: Take the tile up to the base of the cabinets.  As for wall color...if you would like to give it more of a pop you could use a pale blue or possibly pale yellow.  If you would like to have a more monochromatic look go with a light grey or white.  Either of these paint options will give you a more airy kitchen...using dark colors will make the space feel smaller and more enclosed.  Hope this helps!
