From the very beginning of our project, Eric was incredibly helpful with things like connecting us with the architect we ended up selecting (Liana Schmidt, Silver Mountain Design) and working with us to get to a solid budget that would be workable. Once construction started, it was clear that Eric has assembled a skilled, professional crew and a solid network of subcontractors. Although Eric runs a great construction operation, the thing we appreciate most about him and his team is their honesty and integrity. His crew members always did what they said they would do and completed all of their projects with a high level of professionalism and quality. Eric also contributed a lot of ideas throughout the project that improved the final result or solved problems along the way. We also appreciate that our project came in quite close to the agreed upon budget, with Eric and his team doing a good job of managing the budget throughout the process. DCI has a deep bench of reliable sub contractors and a very strong in-house framing and finish carpentry crew. Our project was complex, using a mix of heavy white oak timber framing and standard framing with an unusual (for Ridgway) wall insulation system and took a year and a half to complete. In addition, the architect completed the overall construction drawings for the project but the homeowner completed all the interior design drawings – a potential recipe for disaster! Eric’s team worked through it all with a cheerful demeanor that made our daily visits to the job site rewarding and enjoyable.
