We had major communications problems with the project manager throughout the project, many of which resulted in things we can't change now without major expense and hassle. For example, the shower in the primary bath was too small after they'd installed it, and we agreed on a plan that would partially fix it, but he failed to communicate to the workers, they just didn't follow the plan we'd agreed on. So it's now too small and without the minor fix that would have improved it, and we can't make a change without tearing apart the entire bathroom. We continue to have major issues with our HVAC, which was a major part of the renovation. Our floors are not level, despite us asking about them well in advance. We have now hired another contractor to fix as many mistakes as possible. As our project already went months over schedule and thousands over budget, we are not excited to be making fixes over a year later out of our own pocket. In addition to realizing our vision for the space, which includes kitchen, powder room, dining room, living room and new hardwood floors, they were highly professional, pleasant and fairly priced. We had interviewed other contractors for the project and found them to be inattentive to our expressed needs, some imposing their own visions on our space while neglecting ours, some extremely costly and some unresponsive - I mean they did not pick up the phone. Bottom line is that we love our new kitchen in particular as they opened a smallish apartment kitchen into the dining/living areas and the result is beautiful. The first in late 2022 was a major upgrade and enlargement of a primary bathroom and creation of a walk-in closet. We love it and it turned out gorgeous. The second project was finished in November 2024 and the results are even better. We needed to repair a room in the basement that had had water damage. We decided to include a variety of other updates for our home at the same time. DMV worked closely with us to bring our vision into existence. In the basement we now have a new fourth bedroom, including 2 large new closets along with new lighting, paint and doors in other rooms on that level. The large laundry room was gutted with new kitchen cabinets and pantries installed along with new lighting. The other 2 bathrooms in the house were upgraded to the same vanities and cabinets as the primary bathroom. Javier provided great assistance helping us with the design, selection of materials, and practicality of various ideas and solutions. David, as leader of the construction crew, was exceptionally good at communicating with us and coordinating and supervising all of the workers involved in the project. I like your photo of where you selected to put them A: Thank you for contacting us about placement of glass tiles in shower. We would definitely suggest you that one line with the trim (handle) of shower fixture and right below the shower head. Of course, this depend on the material you choose and tiles.
