> I contracted with My Super Handyman to remodel an ensuite master bathroom after reading several positive reviews online as well as verifying an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Not only was the job he did so poor and basically left most of my bathroom in unusable condition, he and his crew did thousands of dollars worth of damage to my floors and walls in the process. It was clear after the crew he had initially subcontracted with left the job (my wife found one of them sleeping on our floor during the day) Randall (the owner) was in over his head and had no idea what he was doing. I wished he would have told me he wouldn’t be able to complete the job and saved me the time, money and materials, but instead he fumbled along doing an incredibly sloppy job. The two week job he initially quoted me turned into a month-and-a-half-long mess.

> The floor he retiled quickly cracked along the grout lines, tile was laid unevenly with one in particular sticking up about an inch. The shower was an even bigger disaster having basically been filled with a foot of poured concrete. The tub was not hooked up or plumbed properly. Pretty much all of my fixtures are scratched up or covered with paint or grout. Walls are gouged and completely uneven. Paint is all over the vanity and tile work, as well as a window. It appears two different kinds/colors of paint were used for one wall in particular. Light fixtures were hung unevenly. The kicker was that the Ikea vanity was not even assembled correctly and that came with instructions that you don’t even have to read—they’re just pictures.

He took pictures to show his friends because “nobody would believe me if I told them.” So instead of the new bathroom my wife and I were hoping for, we instead have to rip out everything My Super Handyman did, buy new fixtures and materials, and also fix all the damage he and his crew did.
