He indicated that they couldn't do it for at least 12 months, and put us on the list. In February/March 2024, when the weather became relatively warm, they came out early and started the job. Every part of the job was carefully thought out and solidly done, and it appears that we'll never have to replace the steps again. We are in a heritage district too, and they were not only cognizant of that, but respected the guidelines that that entails. They added a tasteful garage at the end of our drive (without harming a seventy foot pine tree and tamarack only a few feet away from the foundation) and refinished the lower level of our old house to provide access through a patio door to the back yard. The garage included an art studio and workshop and the lower level of the house needed new walls, floors, plumbing, and a sliding patio door to provide more light. The mustiness of the downstairs rooms was soon gone. The space they created was comfortable, quiet, and dry. It became excellent space for visitors and office use. Our interaction with the Erbs was always very relaxed and we found that the advice from Erb Construction was consistently excellent and their carpenters were simply superb in their attention to detail.
