Our women owned, family operated business was established in 2014. At Green Seed Gardens we are centered on Habitat Focused Design + Planting projects and our Certified Naturally Grown Nursery. In addition to our efforts to bring nature right to your doorstep while reducing pollution, we are also driven by a core value of providing quality work to our clients. At Green Seed Gardens we love what we do and we work hard to do it well. We have chosen to stay small to ensure we meet our commitment to providing exceptional designs that are detailed and unique. As a sustainable design company we utilize water-wise plants, natives, edible perennials, and flowers with nectar for hummingbirds and insect pollinators. Most of these plants will come from our own nursery which is free of chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Our nursery uses only natural methods to keep plants healthy. We utilize beneficial insects and other natural and chemical free methods of pest control. Our natural growing mixes and fertilizers are blended using 100% local PNW ingredients. Environmental responsibility and improving degraded urban (and rural) habitats is our mission. Let us help you create a haven for wildlife in your own backyard.

> I hired The Green Seed to remove the invasive weeds the was covering our entire slope.  It was challenging finding someone with the expertise in properly getting rid of invasive weeds.  Many people just mow down the plants and call it good.  The plants just grow back the next season even more vigorously.  I wanted to get rid of them for good.  Austin from The Green Seed had the exact background I needed for this job.  He also knew to take care of slope erosion concerns after pulling out all the invasive blackberries, vines, etc.  Austin was very knowledgeable of his plants.  He helped me replant the slope with a good variety of native plants with different root depths to properly address erosion concerns.  He's also a great person to hire to help with the Backyard Habitat Certification program since he is very familiar with it.

> After completing this job, I also hired him to do maintain our yard, which has an extensive amount of plants.  I wanted someone who was knowledgeable of his plants and knew how to take care of them.  Also, I wanted someone who knew which plants were weeds that needed to be removed before they got out of control.  I have found that most gardeners do not have that knowledge.
