No interior design project is successful without a strong team. Allowing à la carte DESIGN to assemble an interior design plan and the team to execute it is a good way to make a home renovation,  or remodeling project less stressful.

At our interior design firm, the client is our No. 1 team member. At every step of the design process, we consider the client to be the best source of information about what will satisfy them, and we continue to consult with them as the project progresses.

To complete any interior design project, a team with many skill sets are needed. Over the years, à la carte DESIGN has developed relationships with many contractors, tradespeople and craftspeople in the area. We know the quality of their work, and their ability to complete the work on time. Our contacts also include local sources for designer furniture, floor coverings, lighting, fixtures, custom cabinetry, and more. Some of these sources are only available to “the trade.” We can even recommend artists and art galleries to complete the client’s vision.

Interior designers use the home as a canvas for creative expression. At à la carte DESIGN, we combine artistry with skilled project management and an effective team to deliver interior design results that clients love.

à la carte DESIGN was founded in 2003. We believe that a well-designed home environment should not be limited only to the wealthy. We work with projects of all sizes and scope, from relatively simple space planning and décor projects, to full home design renovations and home remodeling projects.

> I hired Jeane to help us design and install a new powder room and basement common area.  The basement went from a drab, basic bar to a vibrant orange room with a one-wall, self-service kitchen complete with white cabinetry, quartz countertops, beverage fridge, sink/disposal and microwave drawer. On the opposite wall, an ugly water shut-off door was camouflaged into two white columns, flanked with shelving affording us space for a large OLED tv, family fotos and collectibles.  The glass bubble chandeliers are super unique and et the stage as you enter the room. A pocket door was installed to close off the basement from the basement stairwell and tall sliding doors were installed to provide a divider between this posh hangout from the teenager's tech area.  The powder room now exudes a Mediterranean feel with white pebbles on the wall behind a large beautiful mirror, custom cabinetry beneath a painted porcelain bowl....topped off with a gold ceiling! Both rooms were transformed into amazing living spaces that exude ooohs and aaahs from guests when seeing them for the first time.  The project was within budget and exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Jeane, for sharing your design vision with us and giving us spaces in our home that truly represent us.

A: It is not a brand of flooring. They are refinished hardwood floors with a custom stain finish (there is a touch of gray in the stain).

A: Shades of light \#PE12044 ; I just tried searched for it online but couldn't find it.  It may be a discontinued item . . . darn it . . .

What is the brand of edging on the backsplash?

A: Typically we
finish tiling where there is a raw edge in a couple of ways  1) use a bullnose tile (there are some of
these that are kind of a pencil size bullnose),
2\) use a “Schluter” strip (names for the company who first created them
(this is a cutable “L” strip that fits behind the field tile and finishes the
side of it as well) this must be installed before the tile is applied . . . not workable on your project),   3)
you could purchase a decorative, coordinating tile strip to finish the
ends and   4) you could use a thicker bead of caulk on that edge to hide the raw ends of the glass.
