> We were fortunate to work with Leah, Kate, and Beth. They were a delight and made an overwhelming project seem easy. Attentive, receptive, super creative with solutions and always keeping in mind our vision, our taste and budget. The result of our kitchen remodel exceeded all expectations. I am truly grateful and absolutely recommend Kate Roos and her team.

> Kate Roos and team were delightful to work with. We worked with Kate on a kitchen remodel and furniture selections in the great room/living room. Kate and team are very professional and efficient: setting up appointments, keeping to a schedule and regular billing. Our design process went smoothly - Kate's a great listener and modifications were seamless. I would highly recommend Kate and her team for any design project you are considering.

**★★★★★ — Welcome Jerde, Jan. 2026**

> We had an outstanding experience working with Kate Roos Design, our kitchen designer in Minneapolis. We were especially grateful that she came up with an attractive and creative design, that respected our budget limitations. Her design pricing was upfront and transparent, and the finished design was well within the projected cost. She offered excellent referrals to local suppliers for some of the suggested design elements. A very good experience for our "last" kitchen redesign.

**★★★★★ — Quinton, Sept. 2025**

> It was a real pleasure to work with Kate Roos and her team for a design for our new kitchen. We met with a few local design firms to select a kitchen designer in Minneapolis and we moved forward with Kate and because of the individual attention she and her team are able to devote to each project. There were ample opportunities for feedback and revisions and we were really impressed at how they were able to thoughtfully and intentionally navigate the nuances of an old house with space constraints. We loved being presented with multiple options, each of which pushed our thinking around the space. We are so pleased we worked with Kate Roos Design and highly recommend their services!

**★★★★★ — Allyson, Aug. 2025**

> We used the space planning services from the Kate Roos Design group. They took detailed measurements of our space. Following the inital consultation and measurements, every meeting was helpful, well planned and perfectly executed. Our designer, Leah, was warm and friendly and knew our needs and preferences and offered great feedback and options. Highly recommend!

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Allyson, thank you so much for your kind words! It was a total pleasure working with you and Dave every step of the way, and I'm so excited about the design we collaborated on together.... I think it's going to be a game-changer! Wishing you a smooth construction phase and many, many lasting memories made in your new space!

**★★★★★ — Jessica Miller, Aug. 2025**

> Perhaps a bit of luck, a good amount of past experience and the right names when we played the name game. I cold called them and was so pleased so quickly we got right to work. I got to work with Leah Dunne and would call her right up when I have another plan brewing. From the very start we worked together well and she was so good at finding the vibe I was looking for. Choices can be so overwhelming and Leah brought perfect ideas to sort through and lead us to the next set of design choices. I have never worked with a design firm and I am so happy with how much fun that work was. Now I just have to wait for the installation. 100% would recommend.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Jessica! From our first call, it's been so much FUN! It's been such a joy working with you, and I am so grateful that you entrusted us with such an important project in your home. (It's going to be a stunner!!!) Thank you for taking time to write this review - it really is very appreciated!

**★★★★★ — HU-398595060, June 2025**

> I firmly believe that working with Kate and her team was what made our kitchen remodel go smoothly and with incredible results. Their knowledge and attention to detail likely prevented a lot of missteps and I’m amazed at their ability to interpret our seeming all over the place style and preferences and come up with something beautiful and cohesive. They never cut corners and were always going the extra mile. I can’t recommend them enough.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you so much for the kind words! We so appreciate it!

**★★★★★ — A. M. Selim, May 2025**

> I couldn’t tell you if Kate Roos designs kitchens.
>
> But I can tell you that Kate Roos designed MY new kitchen. After 4 decades of home ownership and several long projects overseas living in prime urban rentals (I count 17 “gourmet” kitchens across those 40 years), this 6’ X 8’ that Kate created for me is the best designed, most intuitive cooking experience I’ve ever had.
>
> Granted, I have accumulated strong opinions about where the knives should be in relation to the cutting boards in relation to the sink in relation to copious lengths of open countertop prep space.
>
> And Kate listened. More impressive than that, Kate took everything I said, put it into a space smaller than most bathrooms, and created a room that not only allows me to cook the way I love to cook but also inspires awe when friends visit.
>
> How did she pull it off in only 6’ x8’?
>
> Another trick Kate Roos accomplished is this: in our 1000 sf condo, you can see the kitchen from most angles, like while sitting in the living room. Yes, the kitchen has countertops and a sink and dishwasher and a refrigerator and stovetop and oven. But Kate Roos designed it not as a stand-alone, but “of a piece”; a flow not only for the culinary portion of our lives but for our lives as a whole.
>
> Kate Roos is a designer, a coach, a therapist, and a magician.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Wowza Ali! I am late to reply to this stellar review, but I am so grateful for it! You are, by nature, collaborative and creative and I have adored working with you on this gourmet mini kitchen. Enjoy every second of it and I do hope that our paths will cross again soon! Thank you!

**★★★★★ — mlbezak, Dec. 2024**

> Kate is incredibly experienced, patient, kind, hard-working, and professional. We hired Kate and her awesome team for a complete kitchen renovation that involved removing a wall in order to open up the former galley kitchen to the dining room. They thought of everything we didn't know we needed in terms of space planning and layout, and accommodated special requests from us, as well. Her great taste and creativity helped us achieve the kitchen of our dreams. She is well-connected to quality local vendors who respect her work, and these sorts of details are why you would hire an experienced designer like Kate. In addition, her project manager, Beth, is always very organized and responsive, which made the process go as smoothly as possible. Thank you, KRD!

**★★★★★ — Laurie, Dec. 2024**

> Kate and her team helped refine my wild ideas, were the practical voice of reason and suggested beautiful, trendless, colors and finishes fo our home.

**★★★★★ — Andrew Spaanem, Nov. 2024**

> We had the pleasure of working with Kate and her team on a kitchen and bathroom remodel. It was a sizable undertaking, and we were lost on how the space could be reimagined. The entire team was immensely helpful with helping us reconfigure the layout. In fact, the level of detail provided was commented on by a number of GCs and subs that we interviewed and hired for the project. The project could not have turned out any better, and I'm convinced that the work by the Roos team shaved off at least a full month of construction. We will be using their services again. Do not hesitate to hire Kate Roos Design...you will be thankful!

**★★★★★ — Helen Parsons, Nov. 2024**

> Kate and her team are absolutely wonderful to work with. We worked with her for three separate projects on our historical Tudor home. She knows how to make a space beautiful and functional for how you use it and really listens to what you want. I would have no reservations recommending her to family and friends.

**★★★★★ — MaryK T, Nov. 2024**

> Our experience working with Kate Roos Design was WONDERFUL! We had a relatively small project (a new kitchen island that would be big and spacious but would work well in the existing kitchen space and vibe of our great room). Kate offered excellent, thoughtful, personal advice on our design and work itself turned out beautifully -- better than we even imagined. And her team is incredible. The process from start to finish was well organized and ran on schedule, and when issues came up with the contractors, we truly felt like Beth and Kate were advocating for us. We will not hesitate to work with Kate and her team again!

**★★★★★ — maria wolff, Oct. 2024**

> We loved working with Kate and Leah on our bathroom redesign. This is the second project we have had the chance to work together and we could not be more pleased with the results. Kate and Leah were responsive, innovative and could help us realize design options and features we would never have thought of ourselves. They also did an amazing job balancing modern design while honoring the history and style of our hundred year old house. We highly recommend them if you are considering bathroom or kitchen remodeling projects.

**★★★★★ — Sonja Elias, April 2024**

> Kate Roos provided design services to refresh our family spaces. It was a pleasure working with Kate and her team. They gave just enough design options to allow choices yet not feel overwhelmed by decisions. They are true professionals who showed up prepared and ready to work. Kate Roos Design has the ability to make things look beautiful and still meet the needs of a busy house.

**★★★★★ — Michael Manning, Feb. 2024**

> The first thing that comes to mind is how well Leah Dunne and Kate Roos listen. Their understanding of our particular ideas and needs for the remodel was readily apparent. They easily guided us through the design process in an efficient and enjoyable manner. Leah and Kate developed some wonderfully imaginative solutions to the space planning challenges of the project. We really like the final design and are glad they do as well!
> We had considered designing the project on our own but consulting with Kate Roos Design was a valuable decision. Highly recommended!

**★★★★★ — elspethingram, Nov. 2023**

> Prior to hiring Kate Roos Design for our remodel, I hired Kate on a consulting basis. That one hour was more productive than I imagined. She proved her ability to see potential in the house, to understand what we wanted and to focus on what changes would give us the most satisfaction. I had a pretty strong feeling that she was the designer I wanted to use but needed to discuss it with my husband.
> He agreed that we should go with KRD and our plan was to design the project in phases, the first of which would focus on the footprint of the main floor.
> There were numerous oddities in the way the house was built and then later remodeled. It was originally a cozy 1958 rambler with basement but it was built perpendicular to the lake and the view! Later, it was remodeled and a second story added but the orientation of the home was never addressed. My husband and I have restored and renovated several homes but this one had us severely stumped.
> Kate and her team created a schedule for every milestone. Their task seemed impossible but they succeeded. They kept flow, function, how we live, the best use of space, where to get more bang for the buck, how to make sure the interior resonated with the outdoors, and what made more sense for a house that currently made very little sense. While the focus was on the interior layout, Kate Roos considered the exterior and how to keep the facade balanced and aesthetically pleasing. We got so much out of our first floor and only had to bump out the new kitchen wall by two feet. We are very pleased with the results.
> We were impressed with how meetings progressed and got us closer to the final design. We stayed on schedule, we modified, we brainstormed options and the phase 1 design was completed as scheduled. The layout is well thought out, uses every inch appropriately. Stairs were moved to create an incredible flow that offers a sense of openness while still leaving intimate spaces for quiet reading or sipping wine.
> We are so impressed with Kate Roos Design and are already preparing for their involvement with Phase 2

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Elspeth, I am just now seeing this wonderful review and I cannot thank you enough. You are so kind. We look forward to phase two and seeing your home take shape in the way you envisioned it. Thank you!

**★★★★★ — melmoore311, Sept. 2023**

> Kate and her team are the best! From creative thinking to inspiring design to practical execution, Kate Roos Design delivers peerless quality and work and exceptional service. We hired them to remodel our basement. Our house was originally built in the 1920s but with an addition from the 1990s. As such, the basement featured a vortex of challenges: mechanicals from different eras, outdated plumbing, wasted space, and no unifying design or architecture. Kate Roos Design delivered a vision that has fundamentally transformed an outdated basement into a showplace for entertainment and relaxation, including an amazing bathroom. In doing so, they patiently and thoroughly listened to our feedback and made the designs to meet our needs, while also staying within budget. Their creativity and attention to detail is fantastic. They also connected us with a local contractor and provided project management during construction. Their communication, timeliness, and organization during this process was outstanding. We look forward to hiring Kate Roos Design for future projects!

**★★★★★ — bcomeaux, June 2023**

> I contacted Kate Roos Design about providing designs for our kitchen project. We had a very small ~8x10 foot kitchen with an adjacent similarly sized dining area and a chimney dividing the 2 spaces. We wanted to remove the wall between the rooms, requested a small pantry, a place to sit down and put on our shoes and an island that would accommodate a few bar stools. Additionally, we did not need help choosing cabinets, colors, etc, and we had our own contractor (Nice Place) and did not need project management.
>
> Since we only needed help with the design, Kate agreed to a reduced price and provided us with 2 designs to choose from. She incorporated everything on our wish list which was no small feat given the finished space measures 10x16 feet. We could not be happier with our new kitchen and Kate's thoughtful approach to our project.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you so much for your kind review. I am so excited with how it turned out!

**★★★★★ — Dwelly LLC, May 2023**

> I recently had the pleasure of working with Kate and her team on our kitchen plan and was thrilled with the results. From the initial consultation to the final design, every step of the process was seamless, and the designer's expertise truly shone through. They took the time to understand my preferences, lifestyle, functionality, and transformed the space to perfectly reflect our collaborative ideas. Throughout the entire project, she was responive and listened to my ideas and concerns, providing valuable insights and suggestions to optimize the design.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you so much Kate! The pleasure was all mine!

**★★★★★ — rncho, May 2023**

> Kate Roos and team were so easy to work with. They were responsive and listened carefully to me, the client, and worked with me to achieve the look that I wanted, even if I couldn't verbalize exactly what I was looking for. We are so happy with the final product and we would use them again for a future remodel!

**★★★★★ — Betsy Engelking, April 2023**

> Kate is an amazing designer, has a great team and is so much fun to work with! She designed our kitchen in 2020 and then we had her back in 2022 to design a new master bath and walk-in closet. Both of the spaces are beautiful and so functional, and despite a few expected delays, the projects went well from start to finish. Project manager Beth kept everything on track and kept us informed throughout the process. Kate worked with us to create the look we wanted within our budget, and since I'm a design neophyte, her suggestions on finishes and materials were gratefully received. I wish I had another space to remodel so I could have her back!

**★★★★★ — fritzkroll, March 2023**

> Kate and her team designed a gorgeous and functional kitchen for us!
>
> We are thrilled with the new layout, the finishes and the careful consideration of every detail.
>
> It was a very pleasant experience, and I'm so glad we followed their advice.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you so much Fritz for your kind words. This means the world to us. We are so glad you are loving the new kitchen!

**★★★★★ — ssj0116, Feb. 2023**

> Kate and her team were able to push me into a more creative and exciting space when re-designing our main bathroom space. Their willingness to take our traditional style and elevate it with the distribution of space as well as interesting material elements.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Sara! Thank you so much! We cannot wait to see the finished space. It's going to be a knockout!

**★★★★★ — Nancy Eicher, Feb. 2023**

> The team at Kate Roos Design is stellar! I am overhauling my kitchen, which has a poor floorplan (cramped spaces) and has tricky architecture. I had very clear goals, and the team at Kate Roos Design organized my functional needs into a beautifully designed space. In their words - every wall is a beautiful vignette. The team was incredibly flexible, and really listened to all my thoughts and concerns. Looking at plans on paper can be very different from moving around in a 3-D space, and the experience at Kate Roos Design was so, so helpful to know where there could be issues with space, functionality and accessibility. They were helpful in suggesting elements to bring continuity to the new kitchen, and gave me options so I could make final choices that best fit my needs. I feel like this space will really be my taste, but done with more style and function than I could ever do on my own. I recommend this team whole heartedly.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Nancy! It was our absolute pleasure to work with you. Thank you so much for your kind review. Keep us posted as you head into construction and send us progress pics! We can't wait!

**★★★★★ — Mary Freese, Jan. 2023**

> Kate and her team were a joy to work with on our kitchen remodel. We have a smaller space and wanted to maximize efficiency; she delivered 110%. She and her team also provided great insight on all the elements that need to work together in a kitchen (appliances, flooring, cabinet, countertop, lighting, fixtures, tile, hardware, outlet placement). We could not be happier with the result, and would recommend her without hesitation.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Oh Mary, you and Ted are beyond fantastic! We enjoyed every second of our time working on your kitchen design. looking forward to seeing you soon! Thank you so much for the kind review!

**★★★★★ — Christy Kujawa, Oct. 2022**

> From the moment we first met with Kate, our project felt fun and easy. Though we knew we wanted a new kitchen, we had no idea how to translate our wishes into reality. Kate and her fabulous team helped us define how we use our space, what the priorities were for our family and what was possible in the space. Their attention to detail, function and design, as well as their ability to meet all the needs of everyone in our busy family, was simply incredible.
> The entire process was honestly just joyful. They helped us integrate our family's style into the plans and made sure there was a congruent flow into the rest of the house.
> The gorgeous result of their attention to detail and expertise in the transformation of old quirky houses, has given us the absolute kitchen of our dreams.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Christy! Thank you so much for trusting us with your kitchen design. You and Luke are awesome and we feel honored to be included on your 'dream team'! xo

**★★★★★ — Paul Gunderson, July 2022**

> We engaged Kate and team for a kitchen design and were extremely happy with the outcome. Kate, Leah, Laura and Beth were all excellent to work with. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable in their field, openly sharing their insights and talents throughout the process. They made it easy to get to an end result and we had a very positive experience throughout.
>
> In our case we started with little idea of what our options could be for our space. Kate and team measured and came back with multiple design options. We quickly focused on a favorite and moved that design through their well-organized process. We ended up with an open kitchen design that we never could have imagined without the help of kitchen designers, period. The resultant plans have been handed over to contractors for bids inclusive of building & electrical plans, appliances and finishes.
>
> I cannot say enough about how well Kate's business is run and the talent she's got on the team!

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Paul! I am late to reply to this lovely review! Thank you so much for allowing us to help you with your kitchen design. We cannot wait to see the finished space. Send progress pics as you get into it! Thanks again!

> Kate Roos Design Team was able to transform our kitchen from a small, dark, inefficient and cramped area into a warm and inviting space with room to move and cook. Everyone on the team was friendly, professional and kept our aesthetic choices and budget parameters in mind with all aspects of the project.
> I highly recommend Kate Roos and will not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Working on the design with Kate and Leah was very rewarding. They not only spent time to understand our needs, expectations and preferred style but also collaborated with our Constructor to make things work in practice. Great use of the spaces to help us re-imagine what was possible!! We are now approaching the end of the project and are very excited with how things are coming along!
> Shutout to Beth as well for being so responsive and supportive with some of the vendors.
>
> Kate, you may be getting a few calls from my friends to help with their projects :)

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you! We had so much fun working with you and seeing everything come together so quickly. It is a wonderful transformation!

**★★★★★ — Katie Schaaf, April 2022**

> I worked with Kate on the design for a full kitchen remodel. My small, 1980s era kitchen in my 1930s era home needed a refresher. Kate asked me to narrow down my style preferences by flagging some other kitchens found on Houzz. She pulled together a few layouts, which started to incorporate key design elements (a full floor-to-ceiling subway tile wall, pot racks, a recipe book nook) which would help to brighten the space, leverage my existing "must haves" and make the most of the small size. She provided some samples of cabinet trims, backsplash tile, countertop options, knobs and pulls and paint colors based on our discussions to help narrow things down. Once we landed on a layout and all of the materials/colors/etc that we wanted, she pulled together a final design + "shopping list" for the contractors to consistently quote the construction work. Her process, which essentially finalized all of the decisions before getting bids for the construction, made things go smoothly throughout the actual construction work. Kate was available throughout for quick questions and was always fast to respond. I love the beautiful design of my new kitchen and would, hands down, recommend Kate Roos Design to anyone else looking for a professional, personable designer. She incorporated my style preferences while providing creative and elegant design elements leaving me with a magazine-worthy kitchen.

> Kate and Team helped us design our dream kitchen. Kate worked with us closely and distilled our ideas into a detailed plan. We ripped the whole thing out down to the studs and started over. The contractor and the subs were all really professional, helpful, and did expert work. They also speak very highly of Kate's thorough approach to design and plan. Beth followed up on all of the things and kept us in the loop about timelines and deliveries. All involved were responsive to our questions and slight changes that are part of a project. The end result is a beautiful, functional kitchen that we can work in together. I would recommend Kate and her team to anyone looking for a kitchen or bath remodel. Thank you!!

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful review! You were both a joy to work with and we cannot wait to get photographs of your dreamy new kitchen.

> We had a wonderful experience working with Kate and her team. They were kind, professional, communicative, and flexible. We came to Kate because of recommendations by a remodeler in our area as well as some photographs of a project she did nearby. She did not disappoint. The kitchen we landed on incorporates everything we could've asked for. She consistently brought us new ideas and worked with us as we made some appliance and space adjustments.
>
> It's really a treat when you can find a designer who is not only fabulous at creating your perfect space but is personable and great to work with in the process. Kate is all of the above.

**Comment from Kate Roos Design LLC:**

> Becky, thank you so much for the wonderful review! We so enjoyed working with you as well and cannot wait to see your completed Kitchen. Happy New year!

> Kate and Evangeline re-designed the kitchen, powder bath and back entryway for our 1920s Tudor. They did an amazing job of translating our vision into reality. The team really takes into account how you use the space when creating a set of potential options, taking extra time up front to ensure that the choices they create are ones that really work for your family. I loved how flexible they were with the design in terms of materials, layout and price points- giving you a set of options that really work for the way that you live in a space. And her designs are absolutely gorgeous! Kate is also an amazing project manager and was always thinking two steps ahead in terms of questions we might have, issues that might come up, etc. I could not recommend Kate and her team more highly and will be definitely be using her for future projects. Thanks again Kate and Evangeline!

> Kate was incredibly patient through out the design process. We had a very small kitchen and every space choice was important. While we didn’t change the footprint of the kitchen we doubled the functionality of it. She also helped us stay true to our 1918 home with the design including cabinetry in the dining room. With recent world events requiring us to stay home I have been extremely thankful for this pleasant family space to enjoy.

> Kate Roos gets five stars from us. I wish they were gold stars and not just green. We came to Kate with a very unconventional project. We wanted to replace only our kitchen island, not the entire kitchen. Because that island acts as a room divider, sharing space with both the kitchen and the music room, it wasn't even exactly a kitchen project. I asked Kate to run free and wild and create a piece that would increase the functionality of the kitchen and simultaneously be a work of art that took visitors' breath away when they walked in the house.
>
> Kate was able to bring the kitchen’s efficiency from about 50% all the way to 100%. And the piece she designed is an immense kitchen enhancement, a perfect complement to our house, AND a conversation starter.
>
> Mission accomplished and more.

> We retained Kate to design a full remodel of a downtown condo. This included full kitchen, two baths, utility room, two full-wall bookcases, selection of all materials, fixtures, lighting, color selection and interior aesthetics. Kate's design sense is aesthetic but very practical. She states her recommendations clearly, which was very helpful. And we nearly always took them. Kate is easy to work with and communicates well. She worked well with our general contractor. Her fees were very fair, and very much worth it. We're delighted with the finished product.

> Kate was excellent to work with on our complete kitchen remodel. We live in a 1902 home and she designed a kitchen that was beautiful and functional yet still fit with the style of the home. She had great relationships with the contractor and vendors. She worked with us until the layout and materials were exactly what we envisioned. Would highly recommend!

> Looking back at the hundreds of decisions needed for our kitchen remodel, the most important one was the decision to work with Kate. While we had spent lots of time over several years thinking about our kitchen wants and needs, we realize we had never thought completely outside the box. Kate (and Evangeline) brought objectivity, creativity, and experience to the table. The result is that we are fully using the entire kitchen space for the first time. We now enjoy lots of wonderful natural light, and are delighted to spend our time in a beautiful and delightfully functional kitchen. Kate designed a creative way to display our prized pottery collection, and that was a jumping off point for the selection of materials and colors. She has a tremendous sense of color and materials, always keeping in mind how one design decision impacts the others, and retaining a clear aesthetic. Kate and Evangeline were consistently easy and fun to work with, and recommended very capable trades people. We love our kitchen! It completely says who we are, and is so much more than it would have been without their expertise.

> Working with Kate was the best decision we made in remodeling our kitchen. Kate listened carefully to our requests, suggested options that took our kitchen from good to great, and guided our project to completion. Kate is calm, talented and an absolute joy to work with - her professionalism, and attention to detail is amazing.

> We recently hired Kate to help us with a kitchen remodel. We were working with a reputable design/build firm and had reached a stalemate in the design process. Kate came into the project and provided ideas + solutions where we were previously struggling. With Kate, we felt like a weight had been lifted and we were finally moving forward. In the end, we came up with a design we loved. Kate is talented and great to work with! We are so happy we brought her into our project!

> Our kitchen had last been remodeled in the 60’s, and was on the smaller side with a rather frustrating layout. I had ideas about opening it up without adding on, but had not met the right person to help with this project. From seeing her work in a magazine, I knew I liked Kate’s aesthetic, and at our first meeting, I could tell that she was very knowledgeable and would also incorporate my ideas to help transform the space. I had never hired a designer or done a project this big, but with Kate (and Evangeline’s) expertise, it turned out beautifully. In addition to being an absolutely lovely person, Kate was always calm and handled everything with professionalism. It was also obvious that all of the tradespeople she works with have great respect for her as well. I still walk into my kitchen and feel like I’ve moved to a different house or that I’m on vacation. The layout and the storage and the light-filled space have made such a difference in our everyday lives. I’m so grateful that I found Kate to help reconfigure our space!

> Kate Roos designed my kitchen, which I absolutely LOVE! This was my first major renovation, and I'm so glad I trusted Kate with the design. > We hired Kate Roos to design our kitchen and master bathroom during a very stressful time (a family member was in intensive care). Kate's capable and calm sensibilities made it such that I was able to focus all my energy on family and not worry about our renovations. Her design acumen, sense of style, and attention to detail were unparalleled. She never made me feel like my change requests, questions, or need for clarification were excessive or unwelcome. I always felt like I was her most important client (even though I know that she makes all her client's feel the same). Her pricing was fair and reasonable. She introduced us to honest, talented and reputable contractor/tradespeople. I wish I could give Kate 10 stars!

> Kate is a delight to work with. Creative and cooperative, she created a wonderful quality design for our Mid-century kitchen remodel. She listened carefully to our wishes and hopes and created a plan better than we imagined. It honored the original design of the house while bringing it to the present in function. The result is beautiful and wonderfully functional.

> Kate Roos was everything we needed to help us create the kitchen we have always wanted. She listened closely to our goals and preferences. Her vision and ideas were in line with what we wanted, and the finished product is absolutely spectacular - a remodel that was much more than we ever would have imagined! She gently directed us throughout the project to avoid making mistakes. We live outside of Rochester MN and she rearranged her schedule to match our work schedules in order to stand in our home and truly get a feeling for who we are and our life style. We worked with a local contractor and she kept in contact with him and the cabinet makers throughout the project. On numerous occasions when I was concerned about what was happening she stepped in to graciously move things in the right direction. She helped us choose the correct light fixtures, paint - everything. I learned to trust her, asked her opinion on many (if not all) decisions when deciding furniture/fixtures/appliances etc. She was always right on! She was professional, her knowledge of every aspect was deep and the quality of her work unmatchable. She helped us and our contractor keep on track and moved the project along. She keep our budget in mind. Throughout the project we felt she was committed to the project. Very approachable! Without hesitation and with the greatest enthusiasm, I give her the highest recommendation.

> This project could not have been more smooth from beginning to end. I had never hired a designer before and now I will never do another remodel without one. Kate spent a ton of time with me to come up with a great design. I would have never been able to do anything like this myself. She was easily accessible and walked us through the whole process.

> A contractor referred Kate to us, and we are so glad he did. Kate created an extremely detailed kitchen design, including lighting and electrical. She was wonderful to work with and made a daunting project easy. She listened to our ideas and created three different design options to help us find the one that fit our needs best. She also came up with solutions we had not considered for our dated and closed-off kitchen. Kate was able to create a beautiful open kitchen that honored the charm of our 100 year-old craftsman home.
>
> She helped us choose every appliance, finish and fixture. She was smart about when to splurge on items and when to safe money. Our contractor, electrician and cabinetmaker all raved about how precise Kate’s plan was. Because of her precision, we were able to avoid confusion with the contractor and subcontractor. This saved us a lot of time and money. Additionally, we were able to stay on budget because we had chosen everything and obtained pricing before we began construction. We now have the kitchen of our dreams because of Kate’s amazing work.

Our kitchen is beyond our wildest dreams and our contractor also loved working with Kate. When I stressed about the major design decisions, Kate helped to direct me in a way that stayed true to my budget and still allowed me to play a part in the design. The project deadline for me hosting the holidays was easily met with nary a glitch along the way. She has gathered a terrific group of professionals, from cabinet makers to tilers and appliances that made it easy to see the vision both of us had. Thanks Kate ! Hosting the family (23) for the holidays was a huge success. As you can imagine, they all hung out in the kitchen !

> Kate was an amazing designer. She came up with a plan for a very difficult island in an angled kitchen. She was always patient and kind despite my pickiness and constant questions. She was never the slightest bit short with me despite my continued calling. Other designers tried to come up with a drawing to my specification and were unable. Kate was able to point out details that I overlooked that made the end project absolutely amazing. She worked quickly and diligently despite limited time in one portion of the project. When I added on new things and asked for her help each new part of the project was as great as the last. I am a very detailed oriented client and so finding someone to meet my needs was difficult. Kate met my needs completely in every area including design ideas, quality, timeliness and budget.

> One word: Superlative! I have known Kate for 15 years and she is without a doubt THE best CBD/CKD in her field; period (unequivocally and categorically). Of course, Kate is also the most humble and self-effacing designer I know as well. She conducts herself with the highest integrity and will not waiver from her honest, hands-on, practical approach. Kate is not only a beyond genius designer she is second to none as evidenced by her flawless bespoke designs and execution thereof (truly exquisite one of a kind masterpieces delivered within budget and on time - a rare treasure in this day and age). Am so thankful I have her as my go to resource for not only my own projects, but also, as one whom I trust implicitly and can without any hesitation whatsoever recommend her services to others. I am more than eager to give her my heartiest endorsement as Kate's work is most deservedly worthy of high praises.

> Kate helped us design a beautiful and functional master bath and adjoining closet/dressing space, which we were rebuilding after catastrophic water damage. We were terribly stressed out, and forced to make some big decisions fairly quickly. Kate was an expert resource - thoughtful, calm, and empathetic to our needs.
>
> In addition to developing a couple of different style options, she came up with some wonderful ideas to help us make the best use of our limited, and challenging space...including a new built-in wardrobe that completely resolved my storage problems!

> Kate Roos designed and managed a total re-do of my master bath and another full bath within my home. After understanding my requirements and preferences, Kate did a phenomenal job of sourcing materials and advising on designs that met my expectations for baths that are timeless and soothing. The home was built in the early 80's and the baths needed to fit within that, while it follows a modern design. Kate and the construction team created detailed plans and the project was delivered right according to plan. I am very pleased with the results. The master bath remodel included room reconstruction, in addition to new fixtures, tiling, new vanities, flooring and lighting/mirrors. Paint color was selected and applied. The second bath was gutted and while layout remained as is, everything within was replaced and room was repainted to complement.

> Kate is a spectacular designer and not of the usual shallow variety. She really understood what we wanted and focused on our interests and not her own need to express herself. We very much appreciated that. We are doing a complete kitchen remodel with her, meaning the room was down to the studs and everything was reconfigured. We had a lot of budget constraints, which made this space a lot harder to design. We were unwilling to bump out the wall or remove any windows or doorways, something that others had struggled with. She just sat down and executed a design that is satisfying and beautiful. She is patient beyond belief. Her aesthetic recommendations are always lovely. We love cooking and use our kitchen a lot, so this project is near and dear to our hearts. We highly recommend Kate Roos for designing your kitchen and bath. (Oh yes, and we needed a small powder room as well in this complicated spaced, which is also turning out beautifully.) She is very gifted and experienced. I will be happy to supplement this later with a picture, but it is not finished yet, so it seems prudent to hold off until all the nice touches are in.

The homeowners wanted to take over the butler’s pantry to create a larger, brighter space with better flow and more efficient work areas. They hoped to have room for an island, a dedicated pantry and a coffee bar. Above all they wanted a clean and simple design while honoring the history and feel of the home.

  - Description: There was a wall in the middle of the kitchen! One of many reasons it was time for this artist/baker and her family to remodel their kitchen. The possibilities to open up sightlines throughout the space to gain views of the lake were endless. In addition to the view, she wanted to create a dedicated space for her to bake and decorate cakes and cookies for her small culinary business. The new kitchen had to be hyper-functional while being an inviting place for the family to gather and entertain.
