The installers did a fantastic job of installing and adjusting the shades we ordered. During the installation, we noticed the shades did not have the correct valance. The folks at Mann Kidwell quickly ordered the other valences and had them installed quickly and at no cost to us. Please tell me the brand and color?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: Thank you for the question, unfortunately we only provided the fabric treatments (draperies and pillows). I am sorry, I wish I had that information for you. **Q: What's on your windows?** *(in Design Dilemma)* How are the windows in your home dressed? Take a photo and post it in the comments! A: Wow! People are bringing out the big guns - some beautiful widow treatments! **Q: Backsplash: 4 inch granite like counter top or tile??** *(in Design Dilemma)* I have a new house under construction. The countertops are a creamy golden granite with lots of movement. The floor is shown in the attached photo ( this was at the tile store not in my house). The cabinets are natural cherry and are shown in the photo below being installed. I can't figure out what to do for a backsplash. The floor is very natural but had lots of cream, golden yellow, terracotta, brown and lots of veins and swirls. The countertop (no photo, sorry) is beautiful and natural art as well. SO, should I just get a 4 inch piece of the granite for a backsplash and paint above that for simplicity or do a tile or something else. Our style is rustic/farmhouse/industrial/art gallery. The house is on 20 acres and is all open plan. We have original art as well as interesting steampunk art ( repurposed antique tools in new functions). The countertops go in on Thursday so if I am going with granite backsplash I should tell them right away so they bring it along. Thanks Houzzers!!! A: Do the backsplash! You can do a simple, neutral style/color. A painted wall behind your countertops will get dirty and is harder to clean than tile/stone/glass - I know, that's what I have - it's not worth it! Do the backsplash while you are in construction mode, once construction is complete you will hesitate to go back and do it, and it will be an unfinished project in an otherwise beautiful kitchen. **Q: I love the wall covering and pillow shams...where can I get them?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: I just took a quick look, and it seems the wallpaper and fabric (in the canopy) may have been discontinued in the years since that room was completed. The pillow shams were an existing item in the home and I do not know where they were originally purchased. But there are similar toile fabrics and wallpapers available, and you could use them to get the same look for your room. **Q: Need something more** *(in Design Dilemma)* We have just put up this flat screen and are struggling with what to put on the walls to pull it together. Ideas? A: my parents have a very similar family room, which they've decorated quite nicely I think - they actually took out built-in cabinets that were floor to ceiling on both sides of the fireplace, and it opened up the room --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
