We don't want white subway tile (which is a common choice with out countertops). Thinking about marble backsplash but I'm not loving anything. Hoping you creative types can give some good ideas! Thanks! A: tneale2 you're style doesn't have to agree with everyone. As designers we design for our clients taste. In the end you're living in it. With your options and taste I would go with a subtle backsplash. Nothing with a lot of movement, because you're marble has a lot of detail and movement already. The options you chose, id do the glass tile. You can even add some color, if you feel courageous, with a darker grout. Something that will bring out the color in either, your marble or your brass fixtures. I always use the black dress as a comparison! Add color with appliances and accessories! Not everyone likes color... If you do want color, you could do a gold glass tile. But don't let anyone push you to do something you don't feel comfortable with. I always say if you aren't 100% sure you will wear that dress, you will probably buy it and leave it in the closet! **Q: Need designer/architect for wedding venue** *(in Design Dilemma)* Can anyone advise on how I could go about getting some help in designing a wedding a venue? It's an outdoor property with a gorgeous mountain back drop and apple orchards. Not sure if there are specific companies who specialize in this? Or if this is something I could just a hire a design firm to handle? Even though most of their projects are homes. Any suggestions are welcome : ) A: You may want to look into a designer who specializes in commercial properties. **Q: Question about my kitchen** *(in Design Dilemma)* We bought our house 2 years ago and is now around 10 years old. We currently have dark brown laminate on the outside counters and a black granite or quartz on the kitchen island that we were thinking to replace all with a light quartz. If possible, would like to save the black granite of the kitchen island for future use. We’d like to take down the kitchen backsplash too (it’s just on the wall where the stove is) and put up something else.
