Studio 12 was founded by Jeff Burris in January of 2000.

The office seeks work primarily in residential and light commercial arenas with a particular focus on spatial efficiency and material joinery. A full-service architectural firm, the office uses clean lines as a means to amplify material use. The work shows attention to carefully integrated volumes and circulation. We are not interested in repeating ourselves. Each new project is developed under a set of guidelines unique to their site and the program at hand.

I have now used Jeff to design 6 projects for me, including four ground up small condo projects and two renovations of existing homes.  Jeff is not only very creative and talented, but just as importantly, he is organized, thorough, knowledgable about the planning code and knows when to push back on the city and when to back down. > We engaged Studio 12 Architecture to help us rework all aspects of our home - new exterior, kitchen, baths, and an extension coupled with some structural engineering issues.  At every point in this process, the Studio 12 Principal Architect, Jeff Burris brought leadership, listening, vision, patience, and really creative design solutions for every space we developed.  Of particular note, aside from the slick and awesome Modern Architecture that these guys do, they really understand how people live in their homes and how to make the home work.  Moreover, Jeff is a master at finding space where space wasn't and really harvesting the natural light hitting the home into the space.  in our project, we added 12 windows to our already bright home, the result has been incredible.  Another good thing about these guys is that they know how to efficiently harvest the space of your home - slicing off a bit of space here, tucking in an office there, extend this space over here - the results of these moves have been so smart yet so effective.  We also had them design custom storage all over the house and as a home owner this is such a game changer.
