**Q: Heath** *(in Photo Questions)*

Another question regarding the hearth.  How was the boulder moved and placed inside the house ? I have selected a similar boulder for our new home but have yet to figure how to maneuver it.

A: it was a challenge! We brought in a crane ultimately to carefully move into place. The hearth is on the second floor, and we inset the first floor chimney to bear the load of this large stone. Good luck!

Can you please tell me the type of stone used for the boulder hearth ?   This is the most tasteful and unique stone fireplace I've ever seen.  Thank you.

A: Hi, Thanks for the kind words! The stone is actually a solid piece of granite from a quarry in NY (Sorry, not sure which one). We had several pulled prior to going to the crusher and selected this one for the hearth.

This is a very nice modern / traditional mix.

A: Unfilled silver travertine tile with a chiseled edge. The larger tiles and running bond pattern make a crisp install.
